Photostory: Matt's Stroll on his "Bikeu"

Matt loves to have a morning and afternoon gala (stroll) on his "bikeu" (bike), as he pronounce it. He will know when is the right time for him to go out of the house.

Matt: Tita (Salie), labas (go out)
Ate Salie: Kunin natin muna sombrero mo (We'll get first your cap)
Matt: Breros (referring to the cap, echo sya as always)

Then after getting his sombrero, he will immediately take off his slippers and go get the red McQueen shoes, which is his most favorite.

When he is outside he will say goodbye to us and he will not care anymore, basta nasa labas na sya (he's outside already).

Of course, we let him go outside because he needs it too. I think they can stroll safely in our subdivision and there are many children outside playing either with their yaya (baby sitter) or parents/grandparents, especially late afternoon.

He actually loves seeing children playing and laughing. He will even laugh and jump as if he's one of them playing. I know in time, he will be one of them... soon.

Honestly, I can't imagine him running outside under the sun and getting wounds, etc. My goodness, I will surely have heart attack every time Ate Salie will call me telling me my son fall or have bruises, something like that.

But I have to face it, soon I will let him go and play with children. He needs that so he can learn how to interact with other children. I am proud that my son don't like hitting. If you hit him, he will not hit you back. He will say sorry when needed and most of the times, he follows our instructions. Sometimes, he will have little tantrums like when he likes something he will cry without telling us. Good thing Ate Salie will tell him, "Ay, ayoko ng ganyan. Di ba sabi ko magsalita kung ano gusto at wag iiyak?" ("A, I don't like that. I told you to tell me what you want and don't just cry."). Effective naman, the little boy will tell him what he wants. :)

Here is Matt with Ate Salie on one of their afternoon stroll.

Happy Thursday!

Photostory: Reasons to Co-Sleep

Co-sleeping helps breathing regulation. I find this true because when Matt was a newborn, he would sometimes pause as if he's not breathing anymore. I was like crazy that time and I always put my hands on his chest.

Co-sleeping helps to make a healthy heart. Maybe because he feels the warmth of the body around him. Matt loves sleeping on my chest even now and that gives him comfort to help him sleep longer at nights.

Co-sleeping gives you a bonding time. Now I know why even I am a working mom, Matt will always be a Mommy's boy. He loves to wrap his hands around our neck and he likes it to sleep face to face with either Mom or Dad thus facilitates respiration. Because we sleep close together, I can always sense if he has a fever or slight fever. I don't know how but I can always feel if his temperature is beyond normal. So with co-sleeping, I can help him to regulate the temperature of his body.

I fear before that when you co-sleep with your child, he will be less independent. But I am wrong because co-sleeping will make your baby less demanding. Making him more satisfied and thus gives him more assurance that he will always have love and support from you. I find it true again because Matt have less fears and can do things on his own. He's not a shy type, haha.

Another one I fear with co-sleeping is baka madaganan namin sya at di makahinga (suffocation). I also fear Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) but studies suggested co-sleeping can prevent this from happening. I feel much comfortable and protected when Matt is sleeping by my side. I also feel less anxious because I can easily check his breathing and pacify him by tapping while he sleeps. Also, what if there's a fire, I can get him easily right? (God forbids!)

Matt also knows when is bedtime so we don't force him to go upstairs. Co-sleeping provides happy bedtimes and I know Matt always look forward to that each night so he always have sweeter mornings. Matt seldom wakes up with tantrums, he will always wake up with a smile.

For breatsfeeding moms, co-sleeping is very convenient. And because you co-sleep, you don't need to buy expensive moses basket, or crib. It's free!

Those are the advantages of co-sleeping and I know there are disadvantages as well, like less intimacy (parents). But I'm pretty sure you can always find a way with this, lol! Anyway, we are into co-sleeping for 23 months now and my question is when to buy a new bed for my son. That I need to know because our bed is getting smaller :)

Happy Tuesday!

Photostory: Inside a Toddler's Brain

Got this photo from Momcenter Philippines.

So true right? For Matthew, there are some that don't apply like he loves veggie and the hygiene avoidance (okay sometimes he refused to when I am not the one who's doing it for him).

How about your toddler?

I Love Sundays: Craft and Potty Training Update

I wonder why time flies so quickly every Sunday. As usual, we went to Church and to the wet market. My husband do the buying while I took care of my son. It was so hot!

Matthew on his Carter t-shirt, RRJ shorts and Converse shoes.

I was overwhelmed that in a matter of one week, my little boy knows how to say wee wee and knows where to. Last week, I have witnessed how he used his potty chair and now he can say wee before he does. Is he already potty trained? I hope so. :)

We had our late lunch at around 2 in the afternoon and Daddy cooked pork dinuguan with dahon ng sampaloc and papaya. (sorry no photo, because I was so hungry already, haha!)

Today we need to do the craft I am talking here. I had to make Matt fall asleep first before we can start the crafty session. Otherwise, we cannot make any single flower.

Daddy Allan helped me here. The place was so messy, hehe. Next time, we will make it organize so we can work easily.

My first creation, okay na di ba?

After two hours, we had finished too. Daddy Allan do the left flower.

I cut cloths na so I will just sew and sew. I wish I have a sewing machine, hmm, I'll think about it.

Making flowers and ribbons out of cloth is not easy especially if you don't have a sewing machine so I do have an excuse why a single rose took me two hours to do it. Hello! Pagcucut palang kaya ng tela hirap na (Cutting of cloth is very difficult). Maybe because I am just new to it and next time I can make more flowers in two hours.

Wait, there's more. There was a Santa Cruzan yesterday around 6pm, in our subdivision. We don't know that until our neighbors' little girls came out of their house in cute gowns. Good thing, the rain already had stopped. We went to the main street and watched the beautiful girls walking. Unfortunately, Daddy don't bring the camera. When Matt saw the the familiar faces he jumped and jumped, with 1,2,3 counting pa. (pakitang gilas lang, haha!).

Time flies fast and Sunday was over. Hello Monday and I am sure I'm going to have a busy week.

Matthew ang Batang Madaldal

Everyday I am surprise with how Matt become so talkative and he will repeat all your words and he will respond to your questions na.

Like one night, I asked him:

Mom: Matt loves mommy?
Matt: Loves

Then he hugged me tight. So sweet right.

---

One late afternoon naman...

Ate Salie: Matt ano expression ni Daddy? (Matt, what is the expression of Daddy?)
Matt: Ngik! (then laugh)
Ate Salie: Si Mommy?
Matt: Ano ba yan! (What is that????Lol)
Ate Salie: Si Tita
Matt: My God!
Ate Salie: Si Matt Matt?
Matt: My God!

Haha. Ate Salie even told us that our neighbors were amazed how this 23-month old can speak and memorize all of these. Matt is easy to be taught as in, you can teach him once then he will remember that na. I am thinking of enrolling him to play class but the schools near us is not offering that yet so I have to wait until he is 3. Anyways, he is still young and we are already teaching him naman.

More of funny kwento about Matt next time.

Wacoal - Find the right one for your age!

Honestly, at my age, I don't know much about undergarments. I just bought designs that I want without even knowing that the undergarments should have certain specifications to fit your age and body. One time, while blog hopping I came across the blog of one of my favorite mommy blogger and she has a post there about Wacoal.

My goodness,  I really don't know that there is a right undergarment for different age brackets and the right way to wear them. I never been conscious with my body until Wacoal came in. I am not slim but I am not that fat (defensive it is!). I manage to shed 22 lbs. before but still I am not that slim. What can I do, this is what God gave me and I love my pear shaped body, haha.

At different ages, there's a corresponding breast age. In my case, I am 31, I belong to the Stage 1 and I find it true :(. My breast is aging and that is natural. What to do? Here's Wacoal to the rescue!

It is nice to know that Wacoal has different bras and panties for women of various age groups.  At my age, I should choose bras that can provide lift and support, like bras with underwire, pads and side panels with reinforced fabric. I hate underwire brassiere pa naman, but what can I do if this will help me.

I like these Wacoal undergarments: non-wired three-quarter cup bra and medium support shape pants . The bra has a wide strap and non stretch material inside the cup to provide an extra lift of the bust. Non-wire so it is okay with me plus the side panel is wider and can hold the excess fats at the breast side. That is my problem with mine now and Wacoal can definitely solve that. The shape pants, on the other hand, has a thong effect and lifts up the hips. It is also perfect to hide the extra fats at your tummy area. I have mine after giving birth, I hardly do exercise that is why. But Wacoal shape pants can make it look flatter. Oh, thank you Wacoal. You make impossible, possible!

I have seen many brands of undergarments but only Wacoal amazed me with their many lines of undergarments for different ages and body type. Visit Wacoal official website for more information. I am sure you will get amaze too and you will be more conscious with your body.

By the way, Wacoal is also on facebook: Philippine Wacoal Corporation.

So find the right one for you at Wacoal.

Photostory: He is Everywhere

Again, here is my son. He never loses energy especially when mommy is around. He is everywhere in the house and one fear that I have right now is he can climb up our stairs. My husband said, one evening he walked upstairs to get something and without his knowledge Matt was following him and he had almost reached the top of the stairs. My goodness that froze me!

I cannot take another accident for him (knock on wood). Two months had passed since his burn accident, although the scars are fading, I will never ever forget that day (aside from its Daddy Allan's birthday). Anyway, I know Ate Salie will take care of him so that I worry less. I always pray to God for Him to send million of angels to look after my son.

It is almost weekend! Happy Friday!

Photostory: Mommy's Big Boy

If I have a little boy, I have a big boy too!

My husband is a very kind man who never gets angry at all. Even if you push him to the wall, you will hear nothing from him. Most of the times, I am the one who feels the anger for him, lol! I don't know what is wrong with him or he's just good in managing his anger.

Aside from being a kind man, he is very humorous and happy person as in comedian. He has a lot of jokes to tell and is very playful. Sometimes, he acts like a child and play around. Hence, I have two boys in the house.

He is a good cook and most of the times he is the one in charge in our kitchen. He also makes our weekly menu. He can go to the wet market and grocery without me ha. But of course, whenever he buy something he will consult me first. I trust him with our money because I know he will not make kupit naman (steal some money), hehe. He can never hide anything from me, especially that he knows I hate surprises.

We are best of friends for almost 16 years and I have known him since we are 6 years old. We really can't hide anything from each other and with just one look, we already know what one of us is thinking. By the way he also has his own blog, please follow him here. He don't write much these past weeks because he is so busy doing his work stuffs, haha. But he still loves blogging.

Our house is always fill with laughter because of my son and my husband. They complete me.

Have happy rainy Thursday!

How to Add a Personalized Signature to your Blogger Post

I have done a major makeover of my blog. I have changed the template and theme color using Artisteer and you can learn how it works here.

Then, the hardest part of this make over is arranging the blog widgets, adding the signature and the buttons. It took me 3 days to finally figure out how to add again my signature.

You can actually add a custom signature below each of your blog post. I am sharing you how to embed or add/ personalized Signature to Blogger and it is so easy.

Create your Signature. Make your own signature using softwares like Photoshop and Photoscape, or some online Generators like My LiveSignature.

I create my Signature using Photoscape since this is very easy to use. I create a signature that can be a Signature and post divider, double purpose that is. Cool ha!

Get the url of the Signature. You can upload your personalized Signature to your blogger then copy the url link or you can upload it to image hosting sites like Flicker.

I upload mine at Tiny Pic. All you have to do is to upload the signature from your computer then get the image direct link.

Insert the Signature url to Blogger Template. Sign in to your Blogger Dashboard > your blog’s Design > Edit HTML, and check “Expand Widget Templates”.

Note: Be sure to back up your template before making any changes on it. How to save a copy? Click the “Download Full Template” under Backup / Restore Template. Save it in a folder on your computer.

Now find this line of code inside the template box:  <data:post.body/>

You can use the search or find feature of your browser. Just press Crtl+F (or Command+F) and paste <data:post.body/> in the find box then press enter. It will take you to that line instantly.

Then paste this

<img src='image url' style='border: none; background: transparent;'/><br/>

below that line, so that it would look like this:

Click SAVE TEMPLATE. Your done, so easy right?
