Now, we have two makulit na bulilits in the house. That means, double the madness fun!

My First Zalora Loot!

Like most of you, I enjoy shopping online so much. Because you can find very affordable items without going through so much stress like traffic and crowd. It's very convenient kasi for a working mom like me who has so little spare time on hand.

I usually use my Paypal funds to pay. If I run out of funds, I use BDO online bank fund transfer naman. If you are banking online, this is a very convenient way to pay. Just enroll the account of the seller or merchant as third party. If your account comes with an ATM card, you can activate the enrollment thru ATM using the activation code provided after enrolling the third party account. After that, you may do fund transfer and just save the transaction receipt in case the merchant will require as proof of payment.

Speaking of online shopping. I just got my first Zalora loot and maybe my last online shopping loot for 2013!

Zalora Philippines

I'll write more about these once Daddy take a good shot of them since the photo above does not justify their actual looks. And yes, that belt is my Christmas gift to Daddy. He's the one who chose it since he have read my post too soon. I surprised him na lang with a pair of sneakers.

Hey, did you know that in 4 days we will welcome a new year and today is the last day of work for the year 2013. But we'll sure be busier in the coming days as we are having a minor home improvement at home. We need to make ligpit all the kalats before the year ends. Pampaswerte daw and we'll go to Divisoria tomorrow. Wish us luck and no traffic please =)

Hello 2014! Wishing you a Prosperous and more Blessed New Year everyone!

Merry Christmas 2013 - Our Noche Buena

Christmas day just passed like that. Ang bilis! Now, we are all looking forward for the New Year. If only I can take a leave, I will. Unfortunately, taking leaves on December is no longer allowed in our company. Anyways, let me share our Noche Buena.

Noche Buena will always be in our tradition. Whether you have money or not, you'll still buy something for the family to have salu-salo. Daddy and I prepared our salu-salo. We start the preparation earlier while Matt was still asleep. And since he sleep for almost 4 hours in the afternoon he still wide awake until the Noche Buena.

Christmas Gift for Daddy

I hope Daddy will not read this post too soon, hehe...

Anyway, I have been looking for a perfect gift for him. Something he can use or be useful for him. Last Sunday, when we went to the mall he's looking for a belt. But he said it's too expensive daw kaya he didn't buy. #kuripotlang

Now, I am thinking of giving him a belt. Ssshhh... I hope again, he will not read this post too soon. But leather belt is too expensive and with his experience, it get easily worn out. Yung lumulutong na sa tagal ng gamit. So I search online because for me shopping online is the easiest thing to do nowadays. Agree? And look what I have found...

Noche Buena: Why it’s Absolutely Possible to Still Eat Healthy

Guess who goes with us to work?

Can you imagine how tired I am chasing after him and reminding him not to touch things here? That's why I end up putting him on his stroller so I can do what I am supposed to do. We are just waiting now for Daddy who's still in the meeting. We'll go to the mall after to buy him his Cars shoes.

By the way, are you ready for the Noche Buena? Us? We already bought almost all we need for our Noche Buena and Media Noche too. Well, except for fruits and meats, I can say we are ready for the preparation.

And speaking of Noche Buena, here's why it's absolutely possible to eat healthy.

Avoid the Morning Rush: Take the morning plunge with Nestea RTD

Hello everyone! How's your morning? Everyone seems in rush every morning and that's include me. Now that Christmas day is fast approaching, the morning rush even doubled right?

Morning rush + Holiday rush = super stressed. So let me share these tips to avoid morning rush.

From the Press Release Kit:

Do you go through your mornings in one big blur?  Do you find yourself racing from one task to another without enough time to breathe?

The morning rush is something we have grown accustomed to and we no longer question if chaotic mornings are the only way to go. But peaceful and blissful mornings are possible if we take the plunge the night before. A great day starts with good night’s sleep, making the morning plunge a relaxing dip into your day.

So here are a few things to do the night before to finally avoid the morning rush.

Have a to-do list and plunge into it

Instead of taking the morning plunge without warning, write a to-do list the night before to keep you focused. The first thing on every to-do list is to gather your wits and relax, and the best way to do this is to refresh your body and your mind. Drink your favorite Nestea in a Bottle as you make your list and you’ll find yourself in the zone and taking the plunge before your day even starts.

Hello December!

Do you already feel the cold December breeze? I know, it's already the 3rd day of December and last weekend I started to feel the morning and late afternoon breeze. Christmas is truly in the air. So allow me to officially welcome December.

What's so special about December? Hmm, let me think of it. One, this month allows us to take a break from our work. We are working all year round so we deserve a break even if it's just few days off work right? Of course who would not love to receive their Christmas bonus? I do and already waiting for it to buy things we have planned to buy since January.

Another special thing about December is the time it gives us to spend with our loved ones. This special day gives us opportunity to catch up with old friends, family and relatives. Reunions and family/friends gatherings are everywhere. This day makes us forget all the unfortunate events that happen the months that passed. It makes us feel happy beyond everything that had happened.

A Letter to my Beloved Tatay

Today would have been the 74th birthday of my father. And so I write this letter for him.

Dear Tay,

It has been 8 years since you left us.The wound in my heart because of losing you had healed but the scar will be there forever. Just when I thought the pain will go away in time, I am wrong. Because every time I think of you, I wish you are still here. It always pinch my heart knowing we can never be with you. That you can never see your apos who all got your chinito eyes. I am so sure if you are just here now, you will tell everyone how cute your apos are.

I can still hear your seemingly endless laughter whenever Nanay got pikon when she's always talo in your tong its suksukan game. And whenever I hear "matudnila" in radio, it reminded me of you because it was your favorite past time back at home. I cannot forget the day when I burst into tears and tell you how much I love you. How much I care for you and do everything I can so you'll feel better. And I thank God for letting me do that before you left us.

My Childhood's Christmas Carol Story

When I was a child I always look forward to Christmas season. Not only because of the new dress and shoes that my mother will buy me or the gifts the that I will receive from relatives and Godparents. But also because of the Christmas caroling with my childhood friends that I am always excited to join. We do our own musical instruments and we sing our heart out even if most of the times, we were out of tune. We were so happy even with the 5-peso (or even less) that we can take home after each night of caroling. Because it's not about the money, but it's about the experience and friendship that we have shared that matters most.

Mom and Dad Crochet on Facebook

How's your day everyone? Mid-week na ulit, super bilis ng araw. It's only 3 more days and we'll say hello to December. Sale is everywhere and tomorrow is the start of another Big Garment Sale in Meycauayan Bulacan. So if you are just near the place or you want to buy cheap branded items, you can go there. And if you will ask if we will go, maybe no. I still can't get over my lost wallet e.

I keep on telling my self not to be guilty na. Aside from losing the money kasi I really regret not buying what I want. Alam nyo yun ganun feeling na sana ibinili ko na lang yun pera ng bag na gustong gusto ko or yun shoes. But like you guys said, and Daddy Allan too, the money will come back in many ways and that maybe the person who got it badly needs money. It happened for a reason so ayan konti na lang I can move on na. Surely, Daddy Allan will laugh at me when he read this post. Di daw kasi ako maka-move on talaga. Konting push na lang promise, hehe.

Not so Lucky Weekend + Divisoria Loot

Hello Monday! It's another work week. The weekend just passed like that no, ang bilis. It was a tiring weekend for us. Daddy and I went to Divisoria last Saturday, and the traffic jam was terrible.

Supposedly, November 30 is our Divisoria day schedule but at the last minute Daddy filed a leave and then off we went. It was a wrong decision because it took us 2 hours from Hermosa Taft to Tutuban parking due to heavy traffic. Then the rain poured while we are walking along Tabora. Nevertheless, we still manage to buy those in our list.

On our way home, we realized almost everything we bought were for Matt. Look!

Divisoria Loot

All cars (and train) except for the shoes. We can't find cars shoes e. Matt is so so so happy seeing all these stuffs. Muntik pang di makuhaan ng photo since he's so impatient to have them. He even climbed the table where we put these for picture taking, he grabbed the big car and run to his room. Silly boy!

Anyway, I understand why he's so eager to play with his new cars. Because he got a set of Disney Cars e that we bought for only 44 pesos at Anding's Toys.

Disney Cars
Anding's Toys used to be in Tutuban Cluster building but they are at Tabora na. You can find very cheap toys there but I have to warn you that their new place (I don't if it's just temporary) is not as spacious as their old store before. Anyhow, for sure you'll manage to buy because of their cheaper price. (Correction: Mommy Pehpot said Anding's store in Tabora is the main branch. First time ko kasi makita ang Anding's sa Tabora so I thought doon sila lumipat after the fire at Tutuban Mall. Thanks Mommy Peh!)

Actually, the main reason why we went to Divisoria is to pick up our goods but since we are already there, we made the most out of the time we were there. We bought fruits like grapes, ponkan and apples. Then I remember there's also a Wellmanson store at Tabora. They are selling very cheap craft and crochet materials there and we have bought some that I will also write about here soon.

Sunday naman is a family day. As usual we went to Church first. Then we went to the wet market as Matt's yaya want to buy daw shorts. Maybe you are wondering why I called our weekend not so lucky. It's because of the terrible traffic last Saturday plus my wallet got lost while we were at the wet market =(

But I am still fortunate because it's only the wallet that's lost. Lucky also that my important IDs are not there though it has cash inside and my lucky penny is there, huhu. I had a hard time convincing myself that's it's okay and thinking of it still makes me regret why I am not that careful. Imagine sa Divisoria hindi ako nadukutan, dito lang pala sa palengke namin mangyayari ito sa akin sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon. Ang haba ng lintanya, hehe.

Whether it was lost or stolen, I hope the person who got it use it for a purpose. To lessen my guilt, I am thinking na lang that maybe the person who got it badly needs the money. And just like what Daddy said, it's just money and it will be back to us twice in different ways. But how about my Girbaud wallet Daddy? Hehe...

Yay, sorry for the long post. I had hard time typing this one because honestly, I still can't get over what had happened. Malaki din naman kasi un laman nun wallet at un wallet mismo =( Hay, I have to stop my self and end here. Enough of the not so lucky rant.

I hope your weekend went well and have a great week ahead.

On Annual Physical Examination and Losing Weight

Happy Saturday! Weekend is here again. Time flies so fast and in a few more days, Christmas day is here.

Anyway, last month we had our annual physical examination. The examination includes blood, urine, and fecal test, and also x-ray. Thank God the test results are all normal. My blood pressure is also normal too. Daddy Allan's test results too are all normal. But one of our colleagues, surprising has a high blood pressure. It was taken twice already. He can't believe because he's not feeling something abnormal or symptoms of having a blood pressure.

We told him to request for further test like blood chemistry to get his blood cholesterol level. If in case he do have a high blood cholesterol he can check atorvastatin online. It is much better if he'll know it earlier than he'll wait for the symptoms right?

KidsEmbrace Car Seats + A Giveaway

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Mommies and Daddies, like me, our kid's safety is always our priority. Whether it's inside or outside home, we see to it that everything is safe to keep our kids from getting hurt or injured.

For those who have cars and travels a lot with your toddlers, having a car seat is a must. Honestly, since we just go out only once a week, my son doesn't have a toddler seat. He used to have a car seat when he's a baby but he doesn't want to stay put there and so we didn't use it at all. But now that he's a growing so fast, I am considering to buy him a toddler seat. Though I still have doubts on whether he will like to be seated on a toddler seat.

Good thing KidsEmbrace offers character inspired toddler car seats that for sure toddlers will love to be seated on. Here are the current characters toddler seat they are selling:

Happy Monday + Big Garment Sale Loot

Happy Monday! How's your weekend? Mine is great since all our plans went well. We have bought goods to be sent to #YolandaPH victims and we got the chance to go to the Big Garment Sale.

Sunday is always a family day and I think it's the only day in the week that me, Matt and Daddy can eat breakfast together. During weekdays kasi we eat breakfast so early while Matt drinks a glass of milk first. He will eat with Nanay and his Ate between 7 to 8 in the morning. That's why we never miss to eat breakfast at Sundays.

And you know how addicted Matt is with cars that they are the first things he will get when he wake up in the morning. He will stare at them and play.

Have you already watched the a viral Youtube video saying Yolanda is a man-made typhoon? But a UP professor and a scientist, Dr. Mahar Lagmay, already debunks the idea of creating a man-made typhoon.

He said: “I see no relation as of the moment… There’s no very solid demonstration of its (microwave pulse) relation with how it generates cyclones, how this makes the water evaporate and accumulate in a particular area. It’s simply not well-documented,” he said.
“You don’t prove something through your golden voice or the way you speak it out… What he was doing is that he was trying to name-drop Stanford University to boost his argument,” he added. “Let’s just put it this way. In science, you have to demonstrate it. It must be repeatable and it must be testable. He was not able to do that and, therefore, it’s not proven.”

You can read more of Dr. Lagmay's explanation here.

Ways to Help Typhoon #YolandaPH Victims

Good morning guys!

I hate to start a day with a sad post. I thought typhoon Santi was the worst typhoon for this year but I am so wrong. Because typhoon Yolanda just left a huge devastation. I just knew about it when I watched the news last Saturday and until today the footages are heartbreaking. Much more are the sight of the people who are looting to survive. With no food to eat, and clean, dry clothes to wear, what do you expect people to do? Their depressing situations might trigger this kind of doings BUT I am not saying it's okay to steal. No it's not and so I am praying that the government can make a control over the people and assure them that donations are already coming.

So how we can help the victims of Yolanda? Let me share ways how we can help the victims. We can give in kind or cash donations.

For in-kind donations, you can give the following goods:
  1. Use or old clothes but are wearable. No gowns, suits and the likes please.
  2. Foods, like rice and easy-open canned goods like sardines, corned beef, etc. Also, ready to eat food like breads and  biscuits.
  3. Bottled water.
  4. Diapers, lampins or wash cloth.
  5. Blankets and beddings.
  6. Toiletries (bath soap, shampoot, tooth brush, tooth paste)
  7. Medicines and first aid kits.
  8. Milk, preferably breast milk.
  9. Footwears/Slippers.
