Sponsored Video: Knorr is Love

This video reminds me of my mother. When I was young, she used to cook for us and make sure we eat well. But now, everything has changed as she’s sick and can no longer cook for us.

No matter what, she inspires me as a mom. To give the best to my family, to my son. With that let me share my own flavor of home.

As a mother, I want only the best for my son.

To start with, I am a working mom. I am out of home from 6 in the morning until 6 in the evening. If I have choice, I prefer to stay at home and take care of my family.

But being a busy working mom does not stop me from taking care of my family and making sure they get to eat safe and healthy home cooked food. I do plan our weekly meal and go to the market once a week to save time.

Oh my family loves to eat. Eating dinner together gives us time to bond and get updates from each other. And what goes well with a good conversation? Good food, of course.

Luckily, my husband loves to cook too. We take turns in cooking our food. We also like experimenting with new dishes and I am thankful our son eats whatever food that’s palatable to his taste. Fortunately, our son is not a picky eater.

Aside from regular dishes, our son loves soup that’s why I make sure to serve soup often. When I run out of soup idea, Knorr saves the day. I mean the dinner.

Knorr Soup

For years, Knorr is providing us great tasting products especially their soup that goes well with any home cooked dish at home. Knorr soup has just the right flavor that’s similar to home food cooked with so much love. And I must say Knorr is love, a flavor of home!

Visit Knorr website to get to know more of their well-loved products and flavors.

Disclosure: This is a paid post, but all my views and thoughts are my own.

Monday Inspiration: Breathe. Trust. Let Go.

Hello Monday!

It's a gloomy day but that doesn't mean we will have a literally gloomy week as well. Let's start our week with this inspirational quote.

Inspirational Quotes, Monday Inspiration,
Monday Inspirational Quote

You don't always need a plan.
Sometimes you just need
to breathe,
trust, let go, and
see what happens.

Before I do plan a lot for my life. Oftentimes I get disappointed whenever things didn't went as planned. So I have realized that I should not plan my life too much. Though planning makes our daily life easier, it also made us desperate. That's why I am learning to breathe and trust God. I find courage to let go of all my worries and things I can not change. Because I know God is with us always and forever.

Have a great week everyone!

My Journey to Staying Fit and Healthy

For the longest time, I in search for a diet plan that will be able to lose my excessive weight. Yes, I am still on the overweight side. I have tried several diet plans that just turned out to be a yo-yo diet for me.

I know, it's myself and not such diet plans to be blamed. I must admit that I have lacked discipline when it comes to eating and having exercise. Realizing what went wrong, I decided to start anew with my weight loss journey. And I will call it my journey to staying fit and healthy.

Now, let me share this fitness quote that truly inspires me on my new journey.

Fitness Quote via Pinterest

The quote said it all right?

Think positively and worry less, stay strong

This is very important because you are what you think. And if you think positively that you can do something, then there's no way you can not do it. Also, worrying will just stress us and if you are stress, you tend to eat more. And a study relates being stress with having fatty liver. So think positively, stay strong and have faith because everything is under control.

Exercise daily and dance more

This is another important part of staying fit and healthy. A daily exercise of at least 30 minutes can be a good start. This will help us maintain a healthy weight and can lower the risk of heat disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and hypertension. I am thinking of running as an exercise, because it's one of the cheapest. I really need to buy a good running shoes the soonest!

Also, dancing can be a great way to stay fit and healthy. There are many instructional dance videos like Zumba that we can download to start dancing at home. So make dancing a habit.

Eat healthy

If you are what you think, you are also what you eat. One of the realizations I have with trying diet plans, is to not starved myself. The diet plans I tried just turned out to be a yo-yo dieting. It just made me craved for more sweets, junk foods and other unhealthy food.

Now, I started with eating less carbohydrates. I stick with having just 2 cups of rice per day, one in the morning and 1 at night. I replaced my lunch with fiber-rich food like oat meal and fruits. Always remember that to be able to be fit and healthy, 80% we can achieve through healthy eating and 20% from exercising. So don't overdo exercising especially when you are not eating right.

Have quality sleep

Having quality sleep is important in person's health and well being. Sleep is as important as eating healthy and exercising. Poor sleep, on the other hand, is strongly linked to weight gain. In  short  can make you fat. Besides, having sleeping disorders can cause other serious health problems like greater risk of heart disease and stroke, affects glucose metabolism and type 2 diabetes risk and more others. That's why to be healthy, you also take care of your sleep.

Love often and be happy

Need to say more? Stay in love and be happy. Enough motivations to keep fit and healthy.

Thinking of all those above, I never thought that my journey to being fit and healthy should be just that simple. No expensive diet plans and no complicated exercise. All I need is a great discipline.

Oh by the way, I took the Fitness Influence Quiz and look what's my fitness influence is. Guess what? I am a Fitness Champ! I hope this will be for real. Haha!

You can take the fitness influence quiz too, and see what's your fitness influence is. Here.

Weekend is almost here. Stay fit and healthy!

On Finding Blog Inspirations

Yeah, as the title implied, I need some blog inspirations.

Lately, I found my self wanting to write but I cannot write a decent post. I tend to criticize my own writing and ended up with just deleting the whole draft. Sigh!

Actually, I have so much in my mind. The problem is I can not organize those ideas. Maybe I should start with writing a daily journal. This will help me recall important events in my daily life.

But I still need some inspirations. Sure I have my family, my little boy, to inspire to write. However, I know just writing about one topic might make you, my dear readers, get bored. So I made a little effort to search some ideas to get blog inspirations.

Keep a journal

As what I have already said, this will help us organize our ideas. Jotting down ideas will let you not forget about that. A little notebook that you can carry wherever you go is already a good one to start with.

Join blog events

This is what I really can not do at this time. Most blog events are being held at the metro and they often fall on week days. But joining events will definitely give you blog inspirations as you get to know other fellow bloggers, get socialize and bring home some freebies too that you can write about.

Join blog memes and linkys

Joining blog memes and linkys will not just give you blog inspiration. You'll be able to write about a topic and get links to other blogs as well. As you get to click the links of the participants, you do blog hopping and learn from each other. From there, you can surely get more ideas what to write about in the future.

Visit other blogs

Visiting other blogs will give you ideas what other bloggers write about. But I am not saying to copy what other bloggers write about. What you can do is read, and think if such topic will be of interest to your reader.

Visit social media accounts for trending topics

If you have Twitter or Facebook, search for the trending topic. And if you something in mind to write about that topic, then do write about it.

Share your experience about a product

You can write about a product that you just tried, like a product review  A lot of people nowadays likes reading product reviews. They search the web for reviews before buying a product. Just make sure to write about the truth and nothing but the truth, haha.

Review your blog comments

Your readers might want a topic you can write about. Or suggestions you can use to improve your blog. Remember to look at the comments objectively. Don't be too sensitive okay?

Have a quiet time to think

During quiet time, you can think clearly and you can hear what you can not hear during ordinary time. This is also the best time to write on your journal.

Share your own experiences

You will agree that we can get blog inspiration from our own experience. As a mother, I like reading other mothers' experiences too. We may not have exactly the same experience but we will be able to learn from each others' experience right?

Finally, I have finished writing a helpful post. Kidding aside, I hope I am able to help you as I help my self find blog inspirations. Let's keep on writing and blogging. Don't worry too much about your grammar as long as you can express your self. And always remember to write from your heart and be your self.

Do you know other ways to get blog inspirations?

Hello March!

Hello guys! Hello March!

It's been more than week since my last update. Wala lang... There are so many things running in my mind kasi and I can not think well. With that, it's so hard to write a post di ba? It's also hard to pretend to be okay when you are not. As much as possible, I want to be honest with what I feel. And the real truth since we lost our house help and I stayed at home for 4 days, my emotions are down. It's not that I don't want to be a stay at home mom because that's what my heart's desire ever since.
