Matthew's New Robby Rabbit Trolley Bag

School will open very soon. We decided to shop for Matthew's school needs earlier. The advantage of going earlier to the mall is there is no crowd yet. The school supplies are still organized and you can take your time picking and choosing without worrying of the long line to the cashier. Here are more back to school tips.

Aside from the school supplies, we also bought a new pair of black shoes and a school bag. Yes, we bought a new school bag because Matthew's Robby Rabbit trolley bag had to be repaired. Its handle broke but still repairable naman. Yun lang as per the promodiser it will took around 3 months to repair the bag.

So we bought a new one. In fairness naman to Matthew's Robby Rabbit trolley bag, Matthew used it for three years and the bag is still in very good condition. It can still be used once repaired and would last for years pa.

That's the reason why we still chose a Robby Rabbit trolley bag. Before we bought a new bag, we already went to Robby Rabbit and asked them about the repair details. Having heard that it will take long, we look at their new bags na. Matthew is not with us so I took photos na lang muna.

When Matthew saw the photo, he chose the red bag that is smaller than his old Robby Rabbit trolley bag.

But when we went again to buy the bag he chose, he changed his mind when he personally saw this.

Matthew's new Robby Rabbit trolley bag is almost just half of his old bag. But this Robby Rabbit Trolley Bag has the same great features as his old bag.

Robby Rabbit, Trolley bag, School Bag

This Robby Rabbit Trolley Bag has the patented smart switching wheels.

It provides heavy-load support when pulled at any angle and direction.

It is also 100% compatible with the 360 degree rotating wheels. Look!

Speaking of handle, the promodiser showed us how sturdy it was by stepping on it. The handle has support so it will not break easily.

Let's take a look at the inside now.

Robby Rabbit, Trolley bag, School Bag

It can hold 10 books and 10-14 notebooks.

The Robby Rabbit trolley bag has additional support around the corners and potential bump spots. The sides are expandable too so now worries kung masiksik ang loob. It has side pockets too.

These are the front and back pockets.

The Robby Rabbit trolley bag comes with a lunch bag.

The Robby Rabbit lunch bag is now insulated.

There's a Robby Rabbit pouch too.

And a Robby Rabbit tumbler.

You maybe asking again why bought a smaller one? Matthew will be in Grade 4 already. Siguro nag-iisip binata na nga kasi actually he just wanted a backpack bag. He doesn't want to buy a new bag nga kasi meron naman daw sya Robby Rabbit backpack bag. But I told him his books, notebooks and school things won't fit in there. Sige na nga daw sabi nya.

Aside from that, we decided not to get a house help for now. So no more yaya to fetch him and help him pull the bag up the stairs of our home. Don't worry his school is just a few steps away from our home. We wanted to teach him to be more independent.

By the way, this Robby Rabbit trolley bag is Php 3,699.75.

That's it. I will be posting the school supplies we bought naman later. So stay tune!

Daddy A's 38th Birthday Celebration at Max's Restaurant

Two months ago, Daddy A celebrated his 38th birthday.

Before the day itself, we had an advance birthday celebration at Max's Restaurant. He didn't actually know that we will be celebrating early, we wanted to surprise him kasi. Thank God Matthew agreed too kasi lagi gusto nyan ay McDonald's. Haha.

Since we were just three, we ordered this Adobo Ribs bundle for Php 899 only.

Daddy wanted to try their Adobo ribs.

Then we chose pancit canton for long life.

And buco pandan for dessert.

You can chose the beverages too. It can be soft drinks, iced tea or sago't gulaman.

Aside from the Adobo Ribs bundle, I also ordered fresh lumpiang ubod (Php 99).

Of course, I didn't forget Max's fried chicken, half at Php 209.

And because it's a birthday, there should be a cake which I ordered at Max's Corner Bakery.

This strawberry chiffon cake (Php 687) is a classic vanilla cake covered in light whipped cream. Ang sarap nya promise!

It was always nice dining in at Max's because the crews are very accommodating.

Yun lang surprise sana ang cake but the crew assigned to us asked me when to serve the cake in front of Daddy A. Haha! Nagulat ako and Daddy A was just laughing.

They served the cake in the middle of our dinner and they sang for Daddy A.

I hope Daddy A enjoyed this simple surprise birthday celebration that Matthew and I gave to him.

It was a challenging year for him but he keep his feet strong in the ground. I pray that God will keep him safe and healthy, and that He will grant the desire of his heart.

Always remember that we will be here side by side to hold you and love you, even at your worst.

We love you Chemist Dad!

My Dream Family Vehicle

family, family vehicle, car, vehicle, home, home and living,

Before 2018 ended, we made a big decision of buying our own family vehicle. We just tried loaning it to a bank where we have a savings account. We just tried and if ever it will not be approved then it's  okay. I believe if it is meant to be, it will happen. If not, then it's God's will.

Then after 3 days, Daddy A got a call telling us that our car loan was approved. By the way, we already talked with an agent and we have a choice of vehicle already before applying. And yes after 3 days, it was approved.

We were at awe whether to continue or not because in a few days it will be Christmas. So we asked the bank if ever we complete the requirements and pay the down payment and other fees on that day, we can take home the vehicle the next day. They said it depends if the vehicle is already available and we if all the documents will be in before 5:00 PM that day.
It was a Friday and they have no office on weekends and they just called Daddy A at 2:00 PM. We really can't decide at first whether to continue loaning or not. Like what I have already said, we just tried it. Also. acquiring a vehicle will mean we will have to pay monthly amortization again for 5 years again. Though we have finished paying for our house, we still don't know what is install for us in the future. Because 5 years is still a long period of time. Plus the fact that we only have 3 hours to complete the requirements, and pay for the down payment and other fees like insurance, etc.

So breathe in, breathe out. We think hardly that time and prayed for God's will and guidance that He may help us to make the best decision. Then I told Daddy to call the agent if the vehicle is already available and if we can take it home before Christmas. I said if we can, then we can continue our loan and go the bank as soon as possible to beat the 5:00 PM deadline.

The agent said yes if we can process our application and pay for the fees that day. Hearing that Daddy A asked me if we can file an under time since it's only 3:00 PM. So we did and the processing was a bliss.

The bank personnel assigned to us was very helpful. It was an advantage that we first made an bank inquiry about the car loan. Also, it's a good thing that we have an existing savings account and we don't need to carry cash.

To cut the story shorter, yes we took home my dream family vehicle before Christmas. Our van, yes a van, is almost 5 months now. It undergone, 2 routine maintenance like oil change where it uses a car lift from Best Buy Auto Equipment like this.

car lift, Best Buy Auto Equipment

We are using our van when we have a long trip or when we are going to our province.  Although we are only 3 in the family, we find it very  convenient when travelling with a spacious 15-seater vehicle. The company car is  the one we still use daily to work.

It was always my dream to have a van especially during the time when my mother was still with us. I want her to have a very comfortable travel but she didn't got the chance to experience that. Anyway, I always believe in God's plan and for sure she is looking from  up there smiling.

So that's my dream family vehicle.  Have you purchased your dream car?
