Few Tips in Taking Photos of Flowers

Nature has given us a lot of views and sceneries that are worthy for us to frame using our cameras. Wildlife, forest, plains, and flowers are just few things that a lens can catch.

Whenever I see subjects and have an opportunity to bring out my phone, I will definitely took a shot of it.

Flowers are mostly my subjects as an aspiring photographer. Flowers does not need to be captured while in nature, you can find pretty subjects in flower stand like the florist nyc - PlantShed or those made by new york florists.

Of course, aside from the wonderful sceneries, capturing your subject needs some knowlwedge to make it more stunning.

Here are some tips that I can share when capturing flowers:

Water droplets gives a magical effects on the flowers. If reflects the color of the petal. If there is no rain, you can get a small spray bottle and mist the flowers to have small droplets in it.

Framing your subject in a way different from what you commonly see will definitely give a more interesting outcome.

Flower's best shot is during the first hour after sunrise or sunset. The colors of the petals are more vivid during this time of the day.

Instead of getting pictures of flower looking down, try to go on their level and have it framed.

What to do after taking flower photos?
I just put some quotations in it and share it in my social media accounts not only to showcase my frames but also to give inspirations.

Here are other samples:

After the Storm, The Sun Sill Shine Again

With four typhoons in a row, our country is under a devastating situation. Many provinces are under the state of calamity with heavy floods and landslide, destroying many properties and life. Not to mention the current pandemic situation.

2020 is truly a very challenging year. Though, it's ending in less than 2 months now, still it's leaving a huge impact behind.

But we should not lose hope, for there's no storm forever. The sun will definitely shine again no matter how strong the storm was.

A Rainy Week That Was

Yes, it was a rainy week and the rainy days are not yet over. That's according to PAGASA. The started pa last Saturday. We attended the anticipated mass that night. It was always relieving when you talk to God.

After that, we just had a dinner at Matthew's fave fastfood. Minsan lang naman sya humiling so pinagbigyan na namin. He was so happy. Then we went back home. Magpaplantsa pa ako e. After ironing our uniforms, I work online. Hindi ko namalayan, madaling araw na pala. At plakda na ang dalawang barako, hehe.

Mirror image lang, hane? Dahil napuyat, late na nagising. We had our late breakfast, followed by our lunch that I cooked using our JML stone-ware platinum pan.

stone-ware pan, JML Philippines, kitchenware, cookware, frying pan

Daddy was busy kasi sewing our sofa seat cover. Look!

Mas maliwanag kapag light color right? Anyways, I crochet straps for Matthew's watch naman.

Here's our happy boy! Simple joy but priceless :)

And heto pinagkabalahan ko the whole week. Dahil exam week na, review pa more kami.

Hirap din ba sa Mother Tongue at Filipino mga junakis nyo? Naku si Matthew, yes. He's knows how to read naman but he had a hard time with pag-ba-bay-bay, hehe. So we focused on that.

Serious oh!

Aw, akala ko nagbabaybay na, cursive naman pala.

Last summer break, I started teaching him cursive. Medyo naging busy lang lalo na when Nanay got sick kaya nagstop muna kami. But I don't know why suddenly nagkainterest sya sa cursive again. Look, alphabet naman.

Speaking of Nanay, 40 days ba pala since she left us. I can't help but missed her a lot. I saw this photo online and it made me cry.

Sabi nga nila, "The death of a mother is the first sorrow wept without her." Sobrang totoo... Pasensya, I am still grieving so much and I don't know when it will end. I missed her badly but thinking she's a better place eases the pain a little. Thank God, I have Daddy A and this little boy who never fails to make me smile.

Also, I busy my self with different activities like exercising. Sobrang nakakapositive vibes.

These are Daddy's gift and I started using it religiously again for 2 weeks na siguro. Pati sya nakikigamit. Hehe.

The week passed so fast, Saturday na pala and the weather just get worst. The water at the Sta. Maria bridge got high na naman. So scary, I remember typhoon Ondoy again.

Non-stop rain and floods but still thankful because the rain is not as heavy as during typhoon Ondoy.

Hoping for a better weather this brand new week. Let's all pray okay. And here's an inspirational quote from Bo Sanchez.

This is a great reminder for us, especially for those na may pinagdadaanan katulad ko. Be a blessing always. Have a great week everyone!

Lately, I have been living in fear, guilt and pain. I feel so down, I am losing hope and I wanted to give up. But after watching Miracles from Heaven, I felt better.

Hello guys! I have been missing in action for a week now because of some personal matters. Our family is going through tough times. My half brother had a very tragic accident. But he's lucky he survived that accident. Still, this caused us so much pain, fear and worries. I wish I can share everything but I can't. So please bear with me as I find the road to healing.

Monday Inspiration: On Acceptance

Hello Monday!

Just came from a long and emotional weekend. It was physically draining actually. Sometimes, I am asking myself why such things need to happen. But I need to be strong because there are people who need me to be strong.
accepting life quote

Soon, I will write about what and how I feel. In time, I will learn to accept the truth and live with it. Yes, I thought I fully accept the situation but I am still not ready. I am still in denial. I still have that big regret in my heart and so many what if's in my mind.

I am praying every night for more strength and to find that peace in my heart that's been empowered by fear, regrets and doubts. I believe this too shall pass. I needed to accept things as it and let go of what has been. For God has His purpose for everything thats happening. May He continue to guide us and may He grant that peace of mind.

Sorry for this little drama.

I wish everyone a Blessed week.

A Must Read Story: The Boy and The Apple Tree

Let me share this must read story about a boy an apple tree.

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow.. he loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by.. the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad. ‘Come and play with me’ the tree asked the boy. ‘I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more’ the boy replied. ‘I want toys. I need money to buy them.’  ‘Sorry, but I do not have money.. but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.’ The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited ‘Come and play with me’ the tree said. ‘I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?” Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.’ So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted. ‘Come and play with me!’ the tree said. ‘I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?’ said the man. ‘Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.’ So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. ‘Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you’ the tree said. ‘No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite’ the man replied. ‘No more trunk for you to climb on’ the tree said.  ‘I am too old for that now’ the man said. ‘I really cannot give you anything.. the only thing left is my dying roots’ the tree said with tears. ‘I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years’ the man replied. ‘Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, Come, come sit down with me and rest.’ The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears..

When I read this story, I was touched. It's the story of everyone and the apple is tree is like our parent. When we were small we love to play with our mother and father. They are our world. So true because I am seeing that now with our son.

Then we grow older and have our own world that we often forget our parents. I am guilty as I look at my mother. I regret the days when she was still young and lively but I have no time for her. I am busy building my life that I forgot the person whom I owe who I am now. I know I cannot pay all her sacrifices for us but I hope she can feel how much I love her. And even if she can't recall my name, I promise to be with her until her last breath.

I hope this story reminds you also that yes, our parents will always be there for us. But don't forget that they are getting old and time will come that we will not find them at the place where we always leave them. Make them feel our love and give them our time. For we cannot tell what tomorrow will be.

Monday Inspiration: Love and Appreciate Your Parents

Hello Monday!

Sharing another inspirational quotes.

Inspirational Quote via Pinterest
_____________________________________

Love and appreciate your parents.
We are often so busy growing up,
we forget they are also growing old.
_____________________________________

You may have already read here about the condition of my mother. She has a Parkinson's disease and almost losing his memory now because of her medications. At first, I can not accept her condition. I can't believe why this is happening to her. But I know God has better plans and I must accept it.

My mother needs love and understanding more than anything now. Even if she may forget who I am, I will make sure she will never forget the love and sacrifices I am willing to do for her.

So if you still have your parents, love, understand and appreciate them more now. Do not get tired of them because they never give up on us.

Have a great week!

Monday Inspiration: Happy 7/12th to Us

July 27th is the day we chose to risk our long years of friendship for love... And I must say, I never regret it because today is our 7th wedding anniversary and our 12th year of love.

What we have is not really perfect but our marriage is one of biggest blessings God gave me. I will never stop thanking God for giving me the best partner. I can not think of anyone who can fill the other half of my heart. We may shortcomings and imperfections but at the end of the day, it's the love, trust and respect that makes our marriage stronger and worth fighting for.

With that let me share this great reminder for all of us husbands and wives.

Monday Inspiration: MOTHERHOOD

Hello Monday!

Time flies real fast. In less than two weeks, we will say goodbye to July. Whew! Anyway, I hope you started your week right. For today, let me share this inspirational quote about motherhood.
Inspirational Quotes, Monday Inspiration, mother, motherhood, motherhood quotes
Inspirational Quote on Motherhood

“Motherhood is a choice you make everyday,
to put someone else's happiness and
well-being ahead of your own,
to teach the hard lessons,
to do the right thing even
when you're not sure what the right thing is...
and to forgive yourself,
over and over again,
for doing everything wrong.”

Lately, I am feeling this mommy guilt again. I always feel that what I am doing is not enough or will never be enough. I am thinking of quitting my job and take the risk to become a stay at home mom. Especially now that in two months my sister will leave us. That even added to the pressure I am feeling today.

But with everything I am feeling and failing at, I will not quit motherhood. It's truly a choice... To be a selfless mom... To always do what is right even if you really don't know what is right, and to be hurt when you need to teach your kid the lessons, the hard way. I always tell my son that the last thing I want to do is to hurt him. During times I lost my temper, I always blame my self for doing wrong. Guilt and pain will always be there. But all of these, I must say, is all worth it.

Now, who can relate?

Have a blissful week everyone!

Monday Inspiration: Helping A Person

Rainy Monday everyone!

Let's have our Monday inspirational quote.

Helping Quote
Source: thatonerule

This quote is just in time to make me realize that helping a person may not change the world. Instead, it will change the world of that person. This may also apply if someone borrow or get something from you. Yes, you may feel bad if that person will not be able to get that something back to you. But just think that something or money helped that person then you will free your self from anger and grudge. Also remember, that life is fair and whatever you gave, it will be back to you in thousand folds.

Have a great week everyone.
