Decorating Our Home Sweet Home

The other day, while having our breakfast, Daddy and I were talking about buying new sofa set. Our sofa set is almost 6 years old though it still looks okay. I just want to replace it with an L-shaped sofa set to maximize space. Also, I want a wider seats so I can comfortably watch TV or crochet. Sounds contrasting?

Anyway, I would love to have this one if budget permits

Daily Inspiration: Focus on being a Blessing

Hello everyone! It's kinda late I know. I have so many reports to review because it's Friday reporting day.

Anyway, today is the last day of May and I will not forget my giveaway that I promise. Daddy and I are talking about it and the prizes to give. Maybe we will have the same prizes like the first giveaway we have hosted. I will try to include gift packs as well. I am just so busy this month of May and June is here already. We will be busier in the coming days as we are preparing for our son's 3rd birthday. As I already said, we decided to temporarily stopped the accepting of MTOs. We still have many orders to finish and I am like a zombie already. And as you all know apart from my job, my shop, crocheting and blogging, I am also homeschooling Matt. So please bear with me =)

Anyway, let's have our Daily Inspiration for today.

3 Things to Consider Before Becoming a Day Trader

Parents like us explore everything to earn money for our family and children's future. I am no different because as you all know I am into a small business already and given a chance I will also explore more better ways to earn like trading. If you are also considering trading to earn more for your family, then read through and this might help you.

Many professionals envy the freedom and autonomy day traders experience in their daily work routine. Though the life of a trader can seem glamorous and profitable, in reality, the risks are high and a very small percentage of day traders actually see earnings over time. If you’re thinking about investing for a living, there is noting wrong with that, but take some time to consider what that means as a career move and put serious time and thought into the decision before making a shift to full-time day trading.

Read on for three things to consider before diving headfirst into the frantic, oftentimes stressful lifestyle of a trader.

Dreaming of a Luxury World

I am not a material person. I value all the things and people around me regardless of what and who they are. But I must admit that sometimes, I dream of living in a luxury world full of luxury products. Dreaming is just free so let's dream anyway.

Almost everyone dreams of having a luxury house. A castle like that of Brangelina’s.

With a luxury living room like this.

I have been long dreaming for a sofa set like that. It looks so comfortable and perfect for my crocheting.

How about a kitchen like this?

Daddy for sure will love to cook here.

Of course the luxury bedroom that makes you feel  like you're in a hotel. I will sleep like a queen for sure.

Finally, to blog using this Gold and diamond MacBook.

Yes, even if I will live in a luxury world I will never quit blogging. Because blogging makes me happy just like crocheting. I feel so free to express my self and dream like this.

I think I need to wake up now and go back to reality. The reality of life. That even we are  living in a simple world, I am happy and blessed. For I have the most precious and priceless possession in the world. And that's my family, my simple happiness.

Do you also dream of a luxury world? I would love to hear yours.

Our Monthly Family Expenses

Have you notice how easy money can be spent nowadays?

When I was a kid, I used to accompany my mother to the market every Sundays. From her I learned how to look for the fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and meat. I even learned how to haggle for the price. I remember that time, 500 pesos was more than enough to buy all that we need (food, consumables) for a week. We were 6 in the family and sometimes our extended family (my half-brother's family), joined us as well.

My Very First Travel Experience

Almost 6 years ago, our company gave me a privilege to travel to Bangkok, Thailand. They sent me to attend a training for one of our equipment in the laboratory.

I was so hesitant to go because I am not used to travelling alone and outside the country. I have so many fears and even told Daddy, that I will just let it pass and say no. He told me it's a big opportunity I must grab and just enjoy that 5-day trip.

It was my very first travel experience. My very first airplane ride. I told you I can easily get sick travelling and it was terrible before. I entered the NAIA Terminal too without any idea what to do inside. I just go with the flow, haha. I checked in and get the window seat, and passed to the immigration officers. I remember putting off my shoes too. And I was also wondering where my luggage goes, haha.

When I was already inside the airport, I felt really sad. I don't know why but tears fell from my eyes. I was not sure if it's because I will travel alone, I am afraid of riding the plane or I am not used to going far away from my comfort zone.

I have waited for 2, 3, 4 hours to finally board the plane. Yes, I have experienced the super delayed flight as well. I boarded the plane with blank mind and I only came to my senses when I am finally inside looking for my seat. Since I chose the seat near the window, I had a good view of the outside of the plane. I was still so nervous that time. So I listen very carefully to all the instructions from seat belts to all the safety precautions inside the plane.

Daily Inspiration: Success and Envy

Good morning mothers!

I am so happy! Even I don't have enough sleep I feel so alive. Our first day night of homeschooling is success. Though I must admit, Matt really play it hard. Hehe. But I can see positive signs because when I ask him what I taught him last night he can still remember it. That's why I am so happy and the time I spent is worth it. I know it's too early to say how our homeschooling journey will go to, but at least I can see positive signs to keep me going. I will tell you about how our first lesson went.

Meanwhile, let's have our Daily Inspiration for today.

Daily Inspiration: Trust is like a paper

Hello everyone!

Weekend is here! Time is flying so fast and in 3-week time my Matt will turn 3. That's why I am a little in distress now thinking we have little time. I still have MTOs to finish and I decide to close the accepting of orders and resume after Matt's birthday. Actually we already have a party there, and that's Pocoyo & friends. We printed the invitations already, the toppers, the party hat, the tags for the giveaways. All we need to do is to cut and to laminate the invitations. I already ordered the cake and we have a menu too. But what I am worrying about is the souvenir because we are planning to make amigurumi of Pocoyo and friends. That would take us time for sure and hopefully we can start with it next week. Do it yourself party is really hard =)

Okay let's move to our Daily Inspiration for today.

Homeschooling is a Challenge

Since Matt is turning 3, we are thinking of sending him to school. At first we don't see any problem since there's a school just few steps away from our home. But we are so wrong, because the school near us don't have Nursery level. They have Kinder 1 and 2 but the age requirement is at least 4 years old.

That really worries us. So we talked about it and we decided to just wait for a year. Anyway if ever he will be enrolled in Nursery he will still take Kinder 1 and 2. But again, at one point I get confused again because of what I have read and heard.

Good thing Daddy talked to her sister, who is a pre-school/elementary teacher. She said she will give us books to guide us what to teach Matt. And while looking for Nursery module, I came across a thread about homeschooling. Actually, I have read and heard much about homeschooling but I never pay much attention since I am a working mom.

I have inquired at Catholic Filipino Academy already. According to CFC, Matt is too young for they Kinder program and so they gave me the Reading program package, which is for children 3 1/2 years old and above. The Reading program is package consists of:

Daily Inspiration: Honest Hearts

Good morning everyone!

Missed our Daily Inspiration? Sorry for not posting for the past few days. My internet connection is still terrible and I was so busy with work lately. Anyway, enough of the excuses. Hehe.

I just want to give you an update about our search for Matt's first school. Daddy and I were so confused few days back. Daddy talked to her sister, who is a teacher, regarding our dilemma. He asked if she got a nursery module and she said yes. She even said she will give us books. With that we decided to just teach Matt at home. Anyway, he knows a lot, as in a lot already. Then just in time, I came across a thread about homeschooling. Hey, this is just what we are needing! And yes, we are homeschooling Matt. So expect a lot about homeschooling here. Later I will post about it na! Excited much lang, hehe.

And before I forget, here's our Daily Inspiration for today.

Decorating Our Dream Farm House

One thing I really want when I retire from work is to have a farm house. Actually, I am thinking of retiring from work earlier than most working people do.

My goal is to be a full time mom before I turn 40. It will be a lot better if I will have a work from home. I will still continue our small business and do buy and sell too. I want to be able to directly import baby stuffs and sell at much cheaper price. Those are my goals and hopefully I can make it through God’s grace.

Anyway going back to our dream farm house, Daddy and I are planning to invest on buying a farm land. This is right after we finished paying our house. As early as now, I am looking for possible design of our farm house. Unlike our current house that is designed by the developer, I want our dream farm house to be personally designed and decorated by us.

farm house
source
I just want a simple structured house. A well ventilated house with at least 4 rooms so that the future families of our children can stay there with comfort. I want each room to have good lights, and I will place lamp shades so that my grandchildren will not be afraid to sleep at night.

Since it’s a farm house, I want a really huge garden where our grandchildren can freely run and play. I will ask Daddy to put a mini pool and a lanai. We will plant different fruit bearing trees, flowering plants and vegetables. I am sure my grandchildren will enjoy harvesting and picking up fruits and vegetables.

I will also place lamp shades around the house and the garden. Good thing there are various new lamp shades to choose from. Lamp shades will make our garden and house bright even at night. We can do barbecue party even at night.

I am praying we can make this dream come true. For the meantime, I will be heading to dreamland to I can finish decorating our dream farm house.

=)

Mother's Day 2013

Almost everyone already posted about how their Mother's day went, except me. Hehe. So it is still better late than never.

We have no plan of going to our home town that day. But my mother in law told us there's a sack of rice waiting for us plus my half sister texted me that she will give us garlic, vegetables and mangoes. And so Daddy and I agreed to go home that day but we will be back to Bulacan later that afternoon too since it's election the next day.

So there, we woke up at 4 in the morning. Daddy, me, Matt and Nanay went home. We reached my in-laws house at around 8 in the morning.

Lola Mama is extremely happy seeing Matt again. Daddy failed to take more photos and I don't know why. Daddy please explain!

The most important lesson that I have learned is
to trust God in every circumstance.
Lots of times we go through different trials and
following God's plan seems like it doesn't make any sense at all.
God is always in control and he will never leave us.

Just trust God. He will never forsake us. He will never leave us.

Photostory: At home =)

Hello guys! I am blogging from home. I usually don't blog at home because I spend more time with Matt then do crocheting. But I feel the urge to make this post.

Yesterday, at work, the power went out. Good thing we have generator but our internet connection also disappear. Then we went home early, had early dinner then just when we finished eating the power went out again. Brownout!

I pity Matt so much as he is sweating so much. Though he was not complaining, he was actually so hyper. We attempted to crochet with the candle light but it was really hot that we decided to sleep early. God really has a way to tell us we must sleep as we are not sleeping well these past weeks. Thank God the power went back at 8 pm.

Tonight, I hope there will be no power interruption. Anyway, here's what we are doing right now.

Momaye's Shoppe First Anniversary

In my quest to become a stay/work at home mom, Momaye's Shoppe was born exactly one year today. Initially, we are just selling Alva cloth diaper as I became inspired in promoting cloth diaper to all the Moms I know.

Then, I got an inspiration to do crafts that includes making handmade headbands and booties, and later on Daddy Allan and I make made to order crochet accessories. That became a big hit, as far as I know, and the rest is history  :)

Because of this, and my birthday, we are planning to have another giveaway and the first  for this year. There will be two winners. The prizes will be announce once the giveaway is posted. I am still waiting for other sponsors :)
