Daily Inspiration: Your Choice

Hello Everyone! Thank God the weather isn't that bad unlike yesterday. I can see a bit of sunshine here already. How about in your place?

To make our day more positive, here's our Daily Inspiration:

Life always offers choices for us to choose from. Almost everything depends on how we look life. They said miracles happens everyday and I believe that. Small and big miracles happen each day or should I say, everything is a miracle.

When you wake in the morning, that is a miracle already. When you have something to eat and a work to go to, a home to shelter, a family, a friend, yes everything is a miracle. If you let God work for you, if you let Him intervene with your everyday life, you will experience miracles everyday. That's how God works in our life. He provides us the things we just need.

So it is up to you to live life. Just choose.

Happy Tuesday!

Daily Inspiration: Trust Yourself!

A rainy Monday everyone! Hmm, whenever it's Monday there's a new typhoon around. The weather is a bed-weather and I am feeling lazy. Hehe.

I missed blogging yesterday. We were so busy with sewing. I will share that with you one of these days.

For the meantime, here's our Daily Inspiration for the day.

Do you trust yourself? Sometime ago, I was a shy girl who lacks confidence. My teachers before were telling me that I am intelligent but I lack self confidence. If I was not that shy before, I might have graduated with more than the honor I have received. Anyway, that was so yesterday. After college graduation, everything changed. I landed a job and from here, I learned to be strong and to trust myself. I don't know how, but trusting myself boost myself confidence a lot. Well, apart from the phrases I am receiving, trusting myself helps me to do what I believe I can.

Now that I have my own family and thinking of a way to be a stay-at-home mom, once again I trust myself that I can make a way. I can do it that is why I am making my way to it now. Even if I am still unsure, I risk to have an online shop. Before, I am doubting if I will have time for it but because I trust myself that I can make time for it, I bravely make it. Believing and trusting yourself makes you do even the impossible.

Happy Monday!

Photostory: A Simple Celebration

Yesterday was our 4th wedding anniversary. We can't take the day off so instead of celebrating it out, Daddy Allan and I decided to just cook at home. As usual, I cooked the spaghetti, my favorite. Daddy cooked the chicken fingers with cheesy-garlic mayo dip, microwave-baked marble potatoes and microwave-baked fudge. We just bought ice cream to top the fudge. Instead of wine, we had the Tanduay Ice as our drink. I am not an alcohol drinker or I just take a sip and replaced it with cola instead.

So that's how simple we celebrate our wedding anniversary. Maybe next time when we can afford to take a leave, we'll celebrate it out of town or country, if God permits.

Enjoy the rest of the day! Can't wait to go home na!

Daily Inspiration: Letting go...

Thank God it's Saturday!

How's your day so far? Are you still at work or just lying down on your bed at home. Well, if it's the later I envy you much. As usual, I am still at work. I wish Saturday will be slashed off from our working days too.

Anyways, here's our Daily Inspiration.
Admit it or now, we tend to push our self too much. We tend to insist a life we couldn't just have. We dream too much of something that will be forever impossible for us to have. If that keeps you dreaming and waiting, then don't you think it's already time to wake up and let go?

I believe that God has a plan for each of us. A better plan than what we have for our life. So if you can't have what you want, try to just live with what you already have now. Letting go of your dreams and the past is not easy. It's a journey you must take for a good life that is waiting for you. Something is waiting for you, a life you deserve.

Happy Saturday!

Photostory: Our 4th Wedding Year

Today is actually one of the special dates in my life. This is the day that my heart received its other half. This is  the start of forever.

Dear Mahal

Thank you for writing  such a nice post this morning. You know that I appreciate every little thing you do for me and Matt. Sometimes, I may say harsh words that might directly or indirectly hurt you but I hope you know what's the real meaning behind it. I love you and I always care for you. Like any other wife, I am just always here at your back to support you. I am always beside you to help you. And I will always be in front of you if it seems you can't make it anymore.

It's been 108 months since we start this roller coaster ride life, but I don't regret every minute of spending my life with you. You and Matt are the biggest blessing God ever gave me. Always remember that I will never trade you for anything this word, and I can sacrifice even my own happiness just to see you both happy.

Here's the song that we love to sing (Grow Old With You):

I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
Oh all I wanna do is grow old with you

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you

I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

Need you
Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

I love you so much and yes I wanna grow old with you.

Mahal Mo

Daily Inspiration: Happiness is Imperfection

Good morning! It's Thursday once again and tomorrow is TGIF!

Here's our Daily Inspiration.

This is one of the common mistakes of people. They taught happiness is finding perfection. Happiness is a choice and acceptance. Learn to accept things as it is and learn to enjoy those imperfections of life. I am not saying don't strive to do better but you should know your limitations and when you need to stop. Don't push your self too much because you might end up falling hard.

Happy Thursday! Happy to see Mr. Sun again :)

Parenting Tips: How harmful disposable diapers are?

Attention Moms and Dads!

Don't wait this to happen to your child.

source
Did you know that disposable diapers contain Sodium Polyacrylate? Sodium polyacrylate is the super absorbent gel than can absorb up to 100 times its weight in water. It can stick to baby's genitals, which cause allergic reactions, and it has been linked in the past to toxic shock syndrome, and is very harmful and potentially lethal to pets.

Moreover, disposable diapers undergo a paper-bleaching process that produces a by-product called Dioxin. In case you don't know, Dioxin is the most toxic of all cancer-linked chemicals, which causes damage to the central nervous system, kidneys, and liver.

Not to mention the wastes accumulated using disposable diapers. Each diaper can take up to 500 years to decompose. Imagine that? Almost 30 percent of each diaper consists of non-biodegradable products such as absorbent vinyl layers, elastics, Velcro, absorbent gelling material in addition to plastic packaging. In addition there are as many as 100 viruses that can survive in solid diapers for up to two weeks including live polio virus excreted by recent-vaccinated babies. The germs constitute a potential hazard to sanitation workers and garbage handlers too.

If your child is still on disposable diapers, potty train them as soon as they are ready or better shift to cloth diaper. It's never too late to make a shift to protect your child and help save the environment.

Daily Inspiration: Dear Heart

Good morning everyone! I do hope the weather will be fine now. I am missing Mr. Sun already. Hey Mr. Sun, we need you. Matt's cloth diaper inserts need to dry up now. Lol!

Anyway, here's our Daily Inspiration to brighten our day.
Have you experience being brokenhearted? It takes for awhile before you recover right? But some people sometimes rush to fall in love again not knowing what they feel is just longing for someone to be with. Then in the end you are hurt again. It will keep on going until you finally learn your lesson. That love is not just all about companionship and you should not fall in love because you need to. Fall in love when you are completely ready to give your heart again.

So dearest heart, take your time because God will give your other half in the right time.

Happy Tuesday!

Daily Inspiration: Be Strong, Brave and Humble

Welcome Monday! Yes, it's Monday again, and I don't know what is wrong with time, lol!

Sometimes, I just wish time will slow down a little bit. I feel that I am missing a lot of things about Matt's development. Two nights ago, I hear him sing a whole song for the first time. We were about to sleep, Daddy Allan was already asleep I think and I was half awake since I was waiting for him to sleep first. To my surprise, he sang: "Ko'y may lobo... Lipat langit... Di nakita... Putok na pala... Sayang pera... Biliiii lobo... Pagkain sana... Busog pa akoooo..." He actually memorize all the songs I sing to him and so when i stop he will continue singing it.

Okay, okay enough of the drama. Here's our Daily Inspiration!

This is very inspiring right? Don't lose hope because we always find strength in God. Be strong.  Fear no one for God is always with us. No problem is bigger than God. Be brave. And when we find success, give it back to Him. Be humble.

Happy Monday! Hoping Ferdie will leave us soon.

Photostory: Mommy's Little Helper

Look who's the new little helper of Momaye.

I was sorting the retaso (remnant of cloth) the other night when Matt jumped in to join me. He pull out one by one my cloth diaper stock inside the plastic. He actually imitated what I was doing because he saw me taking out the retaso inside the bag. I then asked him to put it back and he did. He is always like this. He loves interfering with what we are doing. He will help us even if he still can't.

Hmmm. Looks like I will not have a hard time organizing my stuffs in the future. For the little man is always willing to help mommy. Even at his very young age, he is very organize. He don't want seeing his toys, books and bottles in the wrong place. He will put it back to where it belongs no matter what. He don't want to see his bottles or any bottles uncapped. He don't want to see thrash on the floor. He will pick it up and put into the thrash can. In other words, he don't want mess. Hooray for mommy! I just hope he will stay the same when he grow older.

Does your child helps you too?

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Photostory: Pasalubong

Here's Matthew and his Tita munching on the doughnut.

You know what, Matt is already anticipating that we have always something for him when we come home from work. After kissing us, he will immediately inspect our bags for pasalubong (even he just eaten his afternoon snack). That is why I told Daddy Allan to buy at least something just to make him happy. He is over excited to see us come home. When he heard Daddy's car, he will scream and tell his Tita to move faster and open the gate.

So now, I am thinking what pasalubong to buy. Anyone please? :)

Daily Inspiration: Laugh... Laugh... Laugh...

Saturday! Saturday! I wish I don't need to go work at this day too :(

Since I love my work, I need to deal with it. Anyway, here's our daily Inspiration:

If you're happy and you know it, say HA! HA! HA! Lol! That's copied from one of the Nursery Rhyme Matt loves listening to. I just alter some words to fit in.

Laughter is the best medicine as the sayings go. I love to laugh. I told you I love my work it's because everyday I am with jolly people. We laugh endlessly here so less stress. When I'm at home, I love to tease Matt so I can hear him laugh. I can help myself but smile and laugh too. Matt has the most contagious laughter and is much better than stress medicine and pain reliever available in the market.

So say HAHAHAHAHA! Laugh, laugh, laugh! (Warning: Too much laughing can cause farting. Lol!)

Happy Saturday!

Daily Inspiration: Apologizing

Good morning people! The weather is really gloomy and nakakatamad (feeling lazy) right? It's difficult to wake up and get ready for work during this day. Anyway, I need to go to work because it's reporting day today. Like every Fridays of my week, I am anticipating this would be a busy day for me.

Okay, let us start this with our Daily Inspiration.

In every relationship, be it friendship, work or marriage, you can avoid arguments and misunderstandings. They say, if you don't argue, you don't care for each other. That's why people love to argue even on petty things.

I think the best way to lessen arguments is to learn to respect each other's opinion, because there's no right or wrong opinion anyway. When you are into an argument with your colleague or wife or husband or sister or friend, don't come to a point  of cursing them. Hurtful words once given cannot be erased or taken back. So better watch your words.

Also, I know what is very hard for us is to apologize because we don't want to accept our mistake. But sometimes apologizing does not necessarily means you are wrong. When you shows humility by apologizing first even if you are not really wrong, it just shows that you value your relationship more than your own ego. Yes, sometimes we don't realize that a petty argument can lead to the distraction of our valued relationship like in marriage. You don't know that when petty arguments piled up it can build a wall between you and your wife or husband. Then BOOM, you can't see each other anymore. If you can understand better, is it too much to apologize just to save your relationship? Your EGO or your RELATIONSHIP? Choose!

Thank God its Friday!

Daily Inspiration: This is Me, any problem?

Good morning people! Yay, looks like we will have a gloomy weather today. I hope it will not rain hard this afternoon for I need to commute back home.

Anyway, lets be positive with our Daily Inspiration for today:

Do you also care about what other people say about you? Are you a type of person who easily discourage because of criticisms and gossips?

I sometimes can't avoid the feeling of frustration and depression that after all that you have done some people can still find mistakes in me. I often ask myself, what is wrong with me? I have done my best and sometimes get out of my way, even if it's not really me just to please people. At some point, I got tired about fearing what other people will tell about me. So I have declared to myself, this is me and no one can change me except myself.

If some people really don't like you, so be it. Like what I have said before, we can't please all the people around us. One or two or three will still criticize you but don't let it change you to a person you are not. If they have a problem with you, then let that problem be their problem alone. Haha. Seriously, life is too short to waste our time with people who keep nagging about other people.

This is me, if you have a problem with me, it's yours not mine, *wink*

Happy Thursday!

Parenting Tips: Listen to Your Child

Moms and Dads, are you also guilty with this?

Okay, I know we are busy with our work, household chores, Facebook, twitter, blogging, etc., that sometimes we don't listen to what our kids are trying to say. I bet you already said this: "Later, don't you see I'm still busy!". If you will only look at how your child's beautiful face frown in disappointment, only then you will realize how important it is for you to listen to them. I'm guilty, are you too?

Yesterday, Daddy Allan and I were figuring how to learn crocheting. Both of us were busy looking at the patterns I downloaded and both of us were holding yarn and hook. Here comes our little son asking me to carry him on my lap. Since I was holding a yarn and a hook, I said no but he insisted. So, I carried him on my lap and then he tried to pull the yarn and the hook I'm holding so I put them down away from him. I decided to just read the instruction on our netbook but Matt was determined to interfere with everything I do. I took a deep breath and ask him what he wants and he told me he wants to go outside. So that's the reason why he don't want me to do anything.

We went outside and thankfully, there's still no rain. As soon as the gate opened he ran and ran and ran. I then realize, this is how important it is to him. I heard his endless laughter while chasing the wind. That's priceless and the disappointment I had earlier was totally gone in the wind. See, if I don't listen with what he wanted to say I should have not seen him this happy making me feel happier too.

Moms and Dads, no matter how busy we are when our kids approach us, we should try to pause for a while and give them time. Those little stuffs they are saying are very important to them. When we listen to their little stories, it's a way to boost their self-esteem thereby building trust between us and our children. With this we keep our communication open and they will not hesitate to tell us their thoughts, wants and stories, until they grow old.

Happy Parenting!

Daily Inspiration: 3 Simple Rules in Life

Happy Wednesday! Yay, it's mid-week already. Time flies so fast and soon we will say goodbye to July na.

Here's our Daily Inspiration to start up our day right.

These are the three simple rules in life. When we dream, don't just dream but follow your dream and make it happen. Risk is always the best thing to take otherwise, you'll forever regret not doing what you want. Honestly, I am afraid of taking risk because I always want to play safe. But I realize nothing will happen if I don't actually try it.

One of the risk I take is having an online shop. It took me a year to finally decide, yes it's now or never. It's not easy since I am a working mom too and most of the times, my online shop eats my extra time. But since I love what I'm doing, I can make a way to have time for it. Now I realize, that once you take the first step there's no turning back. I'm already here, I can sell and all I need to do is to work harder and come up with more good ideas. I will get there, I can make my dream come true.

I believe that living a life is just simple if we know what we should rightly do. So do what you want, ask for an answer and courageously make your first step. That's all simple. :)

Parenting Tips: Good Alternative Threats for Your 2-Year Old

Hello Moms and Dads!

From now on, I will be featuring Parenting Tips that will be helpful for us.  For our first Parenting Tips, here are the good alternative threat for your 2-year old toddler.

source
I know the feeling of battling with your toddler because I have mine too. I came to understand and learn the behavior of my son. At his age of 2, he doesn't want to be refrained or obstructed with what he loves doing. He is becoming independent to the point that he thinks he already knows what he is doing. Like the his burn accident last March. He tried to help his grandmother to prepare his bath so he grabbed the thermos and that was when he got the burns. It broke my heart and I can't explain how I felt that time-  the very first time I felt so much pain inside.

So from then on, we are extra careful with everything. As much as possible, I carefully explain to him all the consequences his action might bring. Yes, I often lost control and scream with madness and I guess that's part of life having a toddler. But then again, I have observed that doesn't help and it just stressed me out. So I think patience works much better.

Instead of threatening him, I give him choices or I'll tell him what will happen so he'll understand me better. For instance, we always have a hard time when we are at the grocery. He will whine and attempt to pick all the items on the shelves. So what we do is to do it fast or I will totally lose my sanity. And then I realize, maybe he just want to help us. So I let him go down and push the cart  and it works. Maybe riding on the push cart is boring for him already and he wants to do what mom and  dad are doing.

So those are some helpful alternative threats that we can say to our toddler. In this way, we can avoid more stress and at the same time we are building the trust between you and your toddler.

If you have more parenting tips, please don't hesitate to share. Happy Parenting!
