Matthew's Recognition Day 2019

I know its' been 2 months but I can not let it not shared with you.

Here's my chubby cheeks showing his McDonald's Happy Meal toy.

That was his reward for getting these awards.

I didn't tell you but he represented his school to a Spelling bee contest and for another Tula contest.

Though he didn't won, being chosen to represent his school was already a big honor for him. He is a a creative thinker and an excellent reader, which makes him a winner.

And not only that, he's a consistent honor student.

Which makes me and his daddy very proud.

How can we not be proud of him?

Kahit makulit sya, he still excels in his class.

When it's study time, he never give me a hard time.

He loves studying and he loves Mommy.

Would like to thank his school for always believing in him.

To his adviser who never get tired of teaching and guiding him and his classmates.

To his Lolo Papa na always to the rescue when there's no one to take care of him.

What is more admirable of this boy is his simplicity. Kain lang sa favorite nyang McDonald's happy na sya.

Because he got to finally taste this  McDonald's Chicken Katsu he's been craving since he saw it on TV.

McDonald's, Chicken Katsu

To our little boy, let me remind you that it's not the medal that gives you honor. It's your character and personality that matters most. Just continue to shine and be the best that you can be. Always remember that we are here to support and love you always.

Matthew Andrei's Recognition Day 2018

Hi everyone! How's your weekends? Had a very productive one with Daddy A. But oh, Monday na naman. Monday blues it is right?

Anyway, would just like to share this moment in our little boy's life that makes us really proud as his parents. Medyo late post lang because of the busyness these past months, weeks, and days, haha.

So ayun nga, our little makes us proud again. Despite of being hyper and talkative, our little boy is a hard worker.

In fact, he also won in their school spelling contest during their English fair.

And this year he was awarded with honors and best in penmanship.

He also received two character awards, most active and most honest. His best in penmanship and most honest award are unexpected for us. Being best in penmanship really showed he worked hard in school because at his age, alam nyo naman not all can write well. And of course, the most honest award meant a lot for a mom like me. It means I am raising an honest kid.

On his recognition day, both of us attended and took a leave from work.

Recognition day is a harvest time for hard working kids and a rewarding time for parents. We parents look forward on this day when we can show the world how proud we are to have a smart kid.

It's a job well done for our son and of course to his dear teacher/adviser.

Again, we are proud of this little boy.

But wait, I was again surprise to see his report card.

The report card is given na after the recognition and I don't expect he will have high grades on his fourth grading period. Hindi na kasi namin nakikita ang final exam results nila and he had low exam score in Math during his fourth mastery. But look he had a grade of 93 in Math pa and and his observe values are all always observed na.

Truly, this little boy deserved all the rewards he wanted.

I am really proud not just for the award, honors or medals our little boy received. But for the hard work this little boy gave in all his school years. He never fail to make us proud in little or big ways. Like what I always say, we are here to give him all the love and support he will need in his journey to become the best man he can be.

Matthew Andrei's Recognition Day 2017

Yesterday was a very tiring day but fulfilling day for me and Daddy. It's because it's Matthew Andrei's recognition.

Last Thursday, straight from our work duties, we went to fetch him at Nueva Ecija. We arrived very late na but since yesterday was his recognition, we needed to travel at 3 in the morning to be on time for that important event.

I missed this boy terribly. He kept on hugging and kissing me. He must missed  me so much too. But for now, we needed to send him back to his lola's because we have no house helper yet. Tiis muna but I know God will make a way.

Going back to his recognition day. We arrived at the venue 2 hours earlier than the scheduled time. We opted not to go home because of the traffic. So we waited until it's time. He was happy and excited.

We took advantage of the waiting time and took more photos.

After hours of waiting, the program finally started. The guest speaker is Honorable Jun "Bob" Dela Cruz, Marilao City's Councilor and an ex-PBB housemate.

The program lasted for almost 3 hours and finally, he received his awards!

He received this with honors medal for having a general average of above 90%.

He also received this certificate for being the top 4 student in the Grade 1 class.

Before that he got these two special awards.

I can't be any prouder. He's such our biggest blessing, our pride and true wealth.

With that here are his rewards.

Though I'm still looking for his bigger reward and hopefully I can buy him that before his birthday. While searching I saw this alesis dm10x mesh and I fell in love with it.

It's a premium 6-piece electronic drum set with mesh drum heads that delivers unprecedented feel and expression to modern drummers. It's a great gift sana but I need to save for it. Anyway, Matthew is just 6 and I still have 10 years to save, haha.

Anyway, we had lunch at Mang Inasal after and a simple dinner at home with all his favorites.

It was a very tiring day but my heart is full with love because I am more than blessed than what I know.

Recognition day is not just for outstanding students but also for the hardworking and patient teachers and parents. For their endless love, support, understanding and passion in what they are doing.

Congratulations to Batch 2017 and to all the hardworking students! May you continue to make your teachers and parents proud.
