The Benefits of Attending a Golf School

Golf schools are a great way to improve your game by immersing yourself in an intensive learning environment. Personalized instruction based on skill level helps students correct mistakes, refine their technique, and achieve new levels of success.

Emotional control is also essential to a successful golf career, and golf schools teach strategies to manage stress and develop a resilient mindset. Friendly competitions and tournament play prepare students for real-world golf scenarios.

Improve Your Game

Golf, often revered as a sophisticated and strategic game, requires dedication, practice, and continual improvement. While taking lessons at the local driving range or playing rounds with friends is fun, attending a golf school provides an immersive learning experience that elevates your skills to new heights.

Professional guidance in a structured learning environment provides the structure necessary to establish discipline and focus, which carry over into life outside golf. Expert instruction and personalized feedback allow students to correct mistakes and refine their techniques, while access to quality facilities and equipment enhances practice sessions.

Golf schools like the top rated golf schools in the US also nurture mental and emotional development, teaching students strategies to handle frustration, anger, and disappointment. They teach the importance of maintaining a positive attitude and developing tenacity and perseverance in challenging situations. Additionally, golf school instructors emphasize physical conditioning and injury prevention. Friendly competitions between students help to build teamwork and sportsmanship.

Build Confidence

Whether you’re looking to improve your weekend game or want to compete on the golf course, attending a golf school is a great way to hone your skills. Golf schools offer many benefits: expert instruction, quality facilities, networking opportunities, and structured learning.

Professional guidance can transform your approach to the game, allowing you to unlock your true potential. Golf schools also include classroom sessions to supplement practical training, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of golf.

When choosing the best golf school for your needs, it is essential to consider location and convenience. In addition, it’s important to evaluate the instructors’ qualifications and experience, review the curriculum and training methods, and seek feedback from past and current students. This will help you select a golf school that offers the best value for your money. A good golf school will give you a clear picture of your strengths and weaknesses and a detailed improvement plan.

Network with Industry Professionals

Aside from providing expert instruction and personalized feedback, golf schools also offer students the opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts. Whether seasoned professionals or beginners, students come from diverse backgrounds and share a passion for the game—building relationships that can last a lifetime and lead to valuable business connections.

Additionally, golf is a great way to build strong communication skills and improve problem-solving abilities. Many industry leaders credit their 18-hole rounds with helping them make game-changing decisions, especially when under pressure.

Golf schools help prepare students for various situations by teaching them strategies and techniques for staying calm under pressure and making sound decisions. This builds confidence and enables them to approach challenging problems with a winning mindset. The best golf schools offer comprehensive training programs that consider a student’s strengths, weaknesses, and goals. They also provide a variety of training methods, including one-on-one lessons, video analysis, and on-course playing opportunities.

Practice on Your Own

Golf is a game that requires a lot of practice. When attending a golf school, you’ll have many opportunities to work on your skills in lessons with an instructor. This will help you get the most out of your time in class. You can also practice on your own to improve even more.

Golf schools provide structured learning environments that promote discipline and focus. With dedicated training schedules, specific practice routines, and clear goals, students develop a consistent work ethic that can be applied to other aspects of their lives.

Many of the instructors at golf schools have deep connections in the industry. They can connect you with internships and other opportunities that would be hard to find. Additionally, the camaraderie of fellow golfers in a school environment helps build relationships and support that extend well beyond your time in class.

What to Do when Your Kids are Not Doing Well in School

There are many reasons kids might struggle or not do well in school, but there is one thing to know for all the parents dealing with that right now. You are doing a great job as their parent! Just because your kids might be struggling does not reflect on your parenting. Kids lose interest, sometimes have a lack of understanding, they might learn differently and need more support, they could have a learning disability, or many other reasons. All kids are different and there is no cookie-cutter answer when it comes to why they are not doing well. But, there is one thing that applies to all parents - taking action. What to do when your kids are not doing well in school? Let’s talk about it!

Meet with their teachers

First and foremost, meet with their teachers. This is a great starting place because it’s almost (not always, but almost) guaranteed that your child's teacher has some sort of insight about your child and why they are struggling in school, that you do not see. More than likely, if your child is struggling, the teacher already reached out to you. But, if they have not reached out yet, go ahead and reach out to them first. Set up an in-person meeting (or a Facetime if that is not possible) and come prepared with a list of questions. Before you leave, ask the teacher what they think you should do, in order to help your child succeed. The more people that you have on the same game plan, the better. There is nothing more beneficial than a great support team for your child!

Organize support, where needed

Aside from reaching out to your child's teacher, there might be other ways to organize support, where needed. Maybe your child needs a tutor, or maybe they just need more time outside, with friends. Figure out what the potential issue(s) are and then go from there with organizing support. Keep in mind: you do not have to do this alone and it does not have to add tons of stress and time to your routine. Look into every learning resource out there and figure out what the best option for your family is.

Think about a school change

Sometimes, your child might just need a school change. To do this, you have a few options. You can move and change school zones in public schools, or you could look into private school options in your area. If you go through with a move, keep a few things in mind. First of all, know that this might add stress into your family's life. This is okay, but figure out ways to make it more manageable for everyone - mentally and physically. Hire out the move to professional movers so that you don’t have to worry about that aspect of it. There are plenty of residential movers out there to help take the stress off your plate. Movin’ is a great example of this. These safe movers Salt Lake City are affordable, have customer-focused service, and have over 20 years of experience to back up their great reviews! Hiring a moving team will make a potential move for a new school MUCH easier.

Try different learning methods

There are many different learning methods out there and one thing that I know to be true is that all kids learn differently. Maybe your child is not getting what they need to be successful - and that is okay. Once you figure it out, you can try different learning methods, in order to help them succeed!

Be their rock and offer encouragement and support

Finally, just be their rock. Offer encouragement and support throughout their entire life, but especially now as they are struggling more. YOU are the best person for this job and you know your kids the best. Keep that in mind and love them hard during this time!

Parrish Hall at Swarthmore College. Eric Behrens / Flickr

Every parent or guardian desires children to become successful in life. For children to be successful, it is essential to enter a reputed university or college. Many colleges aim at attracting promising high school graduates. One of the reasons behind this is the stiff competition among colleges and universities.

The process involved in college selection is complex, as is the management of college education expenses. Families do different things to pay for college studies aimed at empowering children to earn more money.

A college savings plan is a coordinated state approach to facilitate college education. The plans differ greatly in terms of performance, management, and fees. The college planning approach relieves you of the hassle and burden of managing your college studies.

The process includes identifying desired qualities. It is vital to separate the wants from the needs. With this, you can identify the least standards to look into during the process. People should attach value to the college's needs and wants: as a result, one recognizes, focuses, and finalizes the process successfully.

FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE COLLEGE PLANNING

It is vital to focus on the young adults' college education desires and dreams in choosing the college plan. The choice of the institution may be considered by reality standards as well as money limitations. Here are some important observations that impact college planning:

Early action and decision

Most regions are experiencing an increase in early college applications. The rate of acceptance for early action is higher compared to a regular decision in many schools. Students who are sure about a certain institution may consider the early decision. This provides students a greater opportunity to enjoy acceptance into a college.

Increased college applications

In the modern world, colleges and universities are experiencing increased applications. This is a result of the students' ability to submit college applications to different institutions. The application process is also well known and simple, enabling people to come up with a definitive list of colleges. Such a list is made up of colleges with higher chances of admitting you.

Affordability of college education

Colleges' expenses increase day by day despite the majority of schools having financial scholarships and assistance. In the past, most students were unable to complete college education due to a lack of finances. Students in the modern day have the option of applying for scholarships and monetary support from the colleges selected. The high school counseling department also offers scholarship suggestions to facilitate college education for young adults.

From previous research, people who graduate from colleges are healthier than young adults who do not go to colleges. University or college graduates possess important skills in critical thinking. Students should have a few colleges to select from: this entails choosing an institution depending on a particular criterion .College planners assist you with the application process, new policies, and sourcing for monetary help. The recent trends in college admissions may greatly impact a family during the college planning process. Investing in college or university education is vital in improving the future of young adults.

As the summer wraps up, it is time to start preparing your kids for school. Making the transition from summer to fall can trigger anxiety; however, many of those can be quelled with a bit of preparation. If you want to make sure that your kids start off school on a positive note, here are four tips that can help.

Get Excited With a New Look

Transitioning back to school may not feel like the most exciting event for your kids. If you want to get them excited about school, invigorate their look and spark some joy. Schedule children's haircuts Leesburg VA, or buy them a new outfit and they’ll be excited to show off their style come the first day.
Stock up on School Supplies

School supplies are the kind of things that you need to stock up on each year. Whether there is a new book to buy, new educational tools or just new notebooks, stock up early. Don’t wait until the rush of the back to school when you can stock up early and get organized for a smooth transition.

Review Your Inventory

Donate any good condition items that you will no longer use so that you can start your home off as clutter-free as possible.

Two Weeks of Online Learning/Schooling

Two weeks ago, the online schooling of our son started.

At first, ako yung nasstress since we are both working and we still don't know how this new normal schooling will happen. Good thing there's a dry run before the first day. Medyo nagka-idea na kami how the online learning will go through.

I made sure also that all the things he needed are on his table na so he don't need to stand pa and look for his things.

I like that his table is spacious. You can read our online class preparation to check this table.

The first day happened in an hour lang. Kung baga orientation muna. Their adviser discussed the schedule and the online class rules. Yes, there are rules too.

My son adjusted so well. It's one of the advantages of techie kids today. They learn to navigate computer applications so fast. By the way, they are using Microsoft Teams and an educational platform Nuadu.

It's an advantage also that they are only 3 in the class, from 19 students when they are in Grade 4. Most of his classmates transferred to public school kasi. So they are only 3 kaya parang tutorial lang nangyayari, which I think made my son adjust well.

Their online class covers the five major subjects only. The school followed Dep Ed's recommendation na 1.5 hours per day lang ang online exposure ng mga bata. So Monday, Wednesday, Friday, they will study Science, Mathematics and English. While on Tuesday and Thursday, it's Filipino and Araling Panlipunan naman. Like what I have said, 1.5 hours lang online discussion in a day kaya nahati yun sa mga subjects nila per day. After the online discussion, they will work on their books or do activities.

At this time, medyo kampante na kami with how his online class is doing. We are monitoring him through the Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 360° that we purchased. Momshs, I highly recommend it because it is so useful. Parang nandoon ka din while they in their class.

Maganda din na sya lang yung nasa bahay at walang distraction. Hindi din sya nahihiyang magparticipate and makipagcommuincate sa teachers at classmates nya. Hopefully, magtuloy tuloy lang yung ganito. I know it's still early to tell because they still don't have their long examination.

Kapit lang mga Momshs!

How's your kids doing on their online class/school?

We are Ready for Online Schooling

We are Ready for Online Schooling

From August 24, school opening was moved to October 05. That's for public school but for those private schools who are ready, DepEd gave them signal to start schooling.

With that, my son's school will start on September 7 and yesterday, we had the connectivity test.

So far okay naman the connection. I can say that we are almost ready for this online schooling. If you read my Preparing for Online Schooling at Home post, we already bought a table and a chair. Like what I have said there, we had an office table at home but it is small daw. So we purchased this Yori Noji Office Desk from SM Home for ₱2,795.00, less 10% if you have SM Advantage Card or BDO Rewards Card.

Yori Noji Office Desk from SM Home

Sulit na din this table because it's spacious with  measurements of L 84 x W 45.5 x 142 cm.

Yori Noji Office Desk from SM Home

There are shelves where you can put their books, notebooks, pens and other school essentials they need while doing the online class. No need for additional trays na and it's easier to reach out whenever they need it.

Yori Noji Office Desk from SM Home

Next naman is this computer chair I bought from an online seller at 1,900 pesos. Sa SM Home it's around 5,995 pesos kasi so I opted to look for a cheaper one but as good quality naman.

computer chair

Oh di ba thats 4,000+ of savings?

Then, we also bought this Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 360°.

This is for us to monitor our son's online schooling even if we are away from home. Daddy A put it just over the table where we can see the view of our living  and dining room, and a little of our kitchen.

Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 360°

Pwede mo din i-zoom in to see what our son is doing on his laptop.

You can buy this Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 360° at Xiaomi Official Store at Shopee for 1690 pesos. You can use your Shopee coins and get 10% cash back.

Lastly, narealize namin, we should also buy a pair of headphone. Good thing there's Shopee kaya no need mag-mall. Daddy A bought this ONIKUMA K1 Gaming HeadSet for around 700 pesos.

ONIKUMA K1 Gaming HeadSet

It has microphone also. Our son was so excited kasi pang-gaming din sya e. Lagot na.

So here's my son's study area. Praying we will get through this year's online class.

I am pretty sure of that because our son is always studious naman. Look!

That's how ready we are. How about you monshs, ready na din for this year's online class?

Election Buttons in School

election, school, buttons, uber buttons, education,

Marketing is the key to success for any political campaign, be it for student body election or presidential elections. Reaching out to the audience, speaking your mind and voicing your opinion is the only way to win any campaign. Whether or not you will come out winning depends only on two facts: Candidate and Marketing. Nowadays, school campaigns are just as competitive, so if your child wants to participate in the school election, be sure to encourage and support them as they would not be able to make it without your support!

School elections have always been competitive, however now with technology; there are various other advancements in these elections as well. So, you would need to have a proper marketing strategy in place to make it a success. Here are somethings that we recommend:

Logo

This one is probably the most important; this logo will become the face of the campaign, so it's essential to choose the right colour, font and imagery for the logo. This shows voters you are serious about the election campaign.

Posters

This technique has been in practice since Abraham Lincoln days. However, it is by far the most effective method to spread awareness about the student election campaign. Visuals always work, so be sure to create posters that are unique, vibrant and make you stand out.

Buttons or Pins

buttons, uber buttons

Whether you are having a fundraiser at home or in the school hallway, creating personalized election buttons and pins for the school election campaign is imperative. With uber buttons you can easily create buttons and pins of your choice; all you need to do is choose the size, shape, colour, photo (if any) and slogan and you are good to go. There are great offers on bulk purchases. So, what are you waiting for, help your child win, this election season!

Website

If you want to take it up a notch and have the means to do so, we suggest you create your very own campaign website. Where you can list out the things, you would be working on once elected. List out your passions, ideas, also share quotes and images that resonate with you.

Social Media

Creating a Facebook page, using personal Instagram and Snap chat is a great way to get the word out there about the election campaign. These act as your political synopsis, so be sure to curate content for these platforms accordingly; as most of your target audience will be scrolling through these pages to get a better sense of your campaign.

Gifts

Gifts are tricky, some campaign marketers swear by it, some are not too sure. No matter what the case is, kids love gifts, and a great way to persuade or even get through to potential voters is by handing out gifts. This does not need to be fancy; it can be a simple token or a souvenir, whatever fits well in the marketing budget.

Email Marketing

Just like social media, email marketing is a great way to reach out to voters, curate a list of all students participating in the voting and send out emails; make sure these are well crafted and catch their attention. Email marketing is also a great way to connect with students who don’t want to support you publicly or are too shy to voice their opinion. Email Marketing content should cover some frequently asked questions, campaign pitch etc. this way, these voters will be able to view campaign brief in one place.

Campaign Speech

Any political campaign is incomplete without speech. Traditional voters believe that a speech can make or break a candidate's career. So, while writing a speech, make sure to include things that will not only resonate with the audience but also speak out tangible goals so that voters can keep track of their candidate’s performance. If you can’t write a speech on your own; someone who knows the candidate well should be writing it, that’s the only way a speech will get a personal touch.

Be it any political campaign; aggressive marketing is the key to winning elections. Always make sure to add personalized touches to your campaign, be it in your website or on the customized buttons; once the voters can resonate with you, they are sure to vote for you!

I know its' been 2 months but I can not let it not shared with you.

Here's my chubby cheeks showing his McDonald's Happy Meal toy.

That was his reward for getting these awards.

I didn't tell you but he represented his school to a Spelling bee contest and for another Tula contest.

Though he didn't won, being chosen to represent his school was already a big honor for him. He is a a creative thinker and an excellent reader, which makes him a winner.

And not only that, he's a consistent honor student.

Which makes me and his daddy very proud.

How can we not be proud of him?

Kahit makulit sya, he still excels in his class.

When it's study time, he never give me a hard time.

He loves studying and he loves Mommy.

Would like to thank his school for always believing in him.

To his adviser who never get tired of teaching and guiding him and his classmates.

To his Lolo Papa na always to the rescue when there's no one to take care of him.

What is more admirable of this boy is his simplicity. Kain lang sa favorite nyang McDonald's happy na sya.

Because he got to finally taste this  McDonald's Chicken Katsu he's been craving since he saw it on TV.

McDonald's, Chicken Katsu

To our little boy, let me remind you that it's not the medal that gives you honor. It's your character and personality that matters most. Just continue to shine and be the best that you can be. Always remember that we are here to support and love you always.

The Many Amazing Effects of Maintaining Good Grades

Getting accepted into university is a wonderful achievement. However, it's important to remember that your acceptance letter is really just the start of a long journey, a journey that will be filled with hard work.

The good news is that university isn't just hard work. There is fun to be had as well. Plus, if you do well enough in school and maintain a high grade point average, you will enjoy many advantages.

school, education, students, maintaining good grades

Keep Scholarships and Financial Aid

Most people will utilize some type of scholarships contingent on grades and/or financial aid in order to pay for university. If you fall into this common category, then it is very important that you understand the stipulations related to the aid that you are receiving. More often than not, financial aid and/or scholarships require that you maintain a certain grade point average, usually one that is average or better.

If you maintain good grades all through university, then you don't have anything to worry about. You should easily meet the requirements necessary to maintain your existing scholarships. If you are not careful and vigilant, however, you could risk losing that aid and not being able to pay for university or at least not being able to without a lot of loans and future debt, which no one wants.

Lower Car Insurance Premiums

When it comes to car insurance, young adults pay higher premiums compared to older drivers. Fortunately, if you are a full-time university student who maintains consistently high marks, and/or who is on the dean's list or honor roll, you may qualify for a sizeable discount.

Insurance companies view students who make good grades as more responsible, which means they are likely to be responsible drivers. As a reward, many insurance providers offer discounts to university students who are able to show proof of good grades. Check with your insurance provider to see if this discount is available to you. If so, you will want to work hard to meet its requirements.

Looking Good to Prospective Employers

Not all employers will ask for your university transcripts or will request to know exactly what grade you got in a particular class. However, some will, and the ones that do will typically request proof of your grades.

If you want to ensure that you have a good chance of getting any job that comes your way, maintaining a solid grade point average is important. That way, if a decision comes down to you and another candidate, you can ensure you have a good chance or maybe even a better shot at being selected thanks to your high university grades.

Getting into Grad Placement

Increasingly, more and more people are choosing to pursue graduate placement after finishing their undergraduate degrees. If you are thinking about this option, know that your university grades absolutely matter. Graduate programs are selective, much more selective than undergraduate programs. Thus, by keeping your grades as high as possible, you can increase your chances of being accepted into grad school with flying colors.

As you can see, good grades in university are important and can lead to many awesome benefits. Thus, keep that in mind and do everything you can to keep those university grades as high as possible.

Rocketship Education Works Towards Reducing Achievement Gap

Educational achievement in the United States is often observed along socioeconomic lines, but the ultimate goal of this observation is to formulate strategies that effectively reduce the achievement gap. Rocketship Education, an American provider of public charter school solutions in disadvantaged communities, has a solid track record of lowering the achievement gap across various grades.

Rocketship Education, education, school, non-profit network of public elementary charter schools

A couple of years ago, the principals of this educational provider issued a few responses to media reports that detailed some of the methodology applied in the classrooms administered by Rocketship. One of the issues that elicited public attention was Rocketship's efforts to integrate technology into the traditional public charter school curriculum.

It should not be surprising to learn that Rocketship Education makes use of technology to bridge the achievement gap; after all, limited access to educational technology is something that disadvantaged communities often face. Young students are more likely to respond positively to technology in the classroom; to this effect, Rocketship uses software platforms such as Dreambox, Lexia and ST Math to improve the learning skills of pupils at their schools.

In the case of ST Math, students approach arithmetic and geometry concepts in a visual manner that allows them to try different exercises that lead to the same result; this method engages their critical thinking skills through animated feedback. By visualizing math concepts, Rocketship students develop confidence that translates into higher test scores because it reduces the potential of feeling intimidated by exam questions. When students see formulas such as (4 + 6) - 10 in a math test, they will remember the colorful and whimsical animations of their ST Math lessons on the topics of addition and subtraction.

When students enroll in public charter school managed by Rocketship Education, teachers and counselors know that not all of them can be expected to be fully familiar with a technology-centric curriculum. To face this issue, teachers apply a computer lab rotation schedule that puts a group of students to work on academic software while other groups may spend more time with their teachers for guided instruction. The goal is to make the entire classroom learn and advance at the same pace, and this is another important aspect that comes into play when bridging the achievement gap.

Some of the values that Rocketship schools observe as they seek to reduce academic disparity include:

Transparency: This is key when expecting constructing feedback from education officials, parents and the community.

Innovation: As previously mentioned, the Rocketship model encourages implementation of technology in the classroom. As long as innovation can make a meaningful impact in terms of academic achievement, it will be welcome in Rocketship classrooms.

Excellence: In the United States, academic achievement is largely measured and quantified by means of test scores. In the nearly 10 years that Rocketship has been operating charter schools, their test scores speak for themselves in terms of commitment to excellence.

A typical day for Rocketship student involves learning about STEM topics and humanities while spending time at the learning lab. In addition to these three blocks, students also get to work on personal enrichment for the purpose of improving their academic potential.

The Rocketship model is also focused on community development. Through a partnership with the YMCA of San Jose, California, the Rocketship Mateo Sheedy Elementary School hosted a special virtual and augmented reality summer program for 48 students. In this program, which was supported by technology giant Google, students were able to explore space and even walk alongside dinosaurs during their summer vacation. Exposing students to cool and emerging technologies increases their interest in STEM, an important aspect of life in a community such as San Jose, which is located in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Matthew Andrei's Recognition Day 2018

Hi everyone! How's your weekends? Had a very productive one with Daddy A. But oh, Monday na naman. Monday blues it is right?

Anyway, would just like to share this moment in our little boy's life that makes us really proud as his parents. Medyo late post lang because of the busyness these past months, weeks, and days, haha.

So ayun nga, our little makes us proud again. Despite of being hyper and talkative, our little boy is a hard worker.

In fact, he also won in their school spelling contest during their English fair.

And this year he was awarded with honors and best in penmanship.

He also received two character awards, most active and most honest. His best in penmanship and most honest award are unexpected for us. Being best in penmanship really showed he worked hard in school because at his age, alam nyo naman not all can write well. And of course, the most honest award meant a lot for a mom like me. It means I am raising an honest kid.

On his recognition day, both of us attended and took a leave from work.

Recognition day is a harvest time for hard working kids and a rewarding time for parents. We parents look forward on this day when we can show the world how proud we are to have a smart kid.

It's a job well done for our son and of course to his dear teacher/adviser.

Again, we are proud of this little boy.

But wait, I was again surprise to see his report card.

The report card is given na after the recognition and I don't expect he will have high grades on his fourth grading period. Hindi na kasi namin nakikita ang final exam results nila and he had low exam score in Math during his fourth mastery. But look he had a grade of 93 in Math pa and and his observe values are all always observed na.

Truly, this little boy deserved all the rewards he wanted.

I am really proud not just for the award, honors or medals our little boy received. But for the hard work this little boy gave in all his school years. He never fail to make us proud in little or big ways. Like what I always say, we are here to give him all the love and support he will need in his journey to become the best man he can be.
