Our Valentine's Day 2019

I know it's been almost 3 months since Valentine's day and I actually still have so many back log in my draft folder. There so many things that had happened but things started to be okay again and praying it will get better.

Anyway, let me start sharing our Valentine's day 2019 and I hope I still remember everything that had happened, haha.

We had a pre-valentine date with our little boy at his most favorite fast food, McDonald's.

We can't win over this little boy talaga.

Before that, Matthew and I secretly bought something for Daddy. It's a watch that he's been frequently looking at every time we go to the mall. Yun lang ayaw nya pa-picture e, hehe.

On Valentine's day, here's our little boy at his school. They will be having a Valentine's day program so that the school was decorated with so many hearts.

When I got home, he gave me this flower pen with a letter.

He said, he will give me another flower the day but he needs money to but it, haha. True to his words, he gave me this. Such a very sweet boy.

Daddy bought me these naman, a Red Ribbon cake a new watch din. Gaya gaya sya e, haha.

2019, Valentine's Day, Valentine gift, Red Ribbon cake, UniSilver watch

Mas magaling lang sya kasi the watch he bought has a free watch pa so our liitle boy had a new watch too.

Since we can't go out that night, we just had a dinner at home. Here's what we prepared for that night.

Yay, that's it. Simple celebration is always the happiest. Agree?

Our Lovely Valentine Celebration 2017

Hello there dearies! It's been awhile again and my apologies that I can't keep up with my promises last time. Super bagal pa din ng internet connection at our home so Daddy terminated our contract na. Hopefully, we will have a better connection na this week because we will be availing DSL connection na. That means sisispagin na kong mag-blog, hehe.

Anyways, I know medyo late na but how's your Valentine's day? Mine was a lovely one. It started earlier on Sunday when I received this from the Church we usually go to hear a mass.

The priest blessed all the couples that day. This is a great reminder from God that I am so blessed. After hearing a mass, we went to the mall to do some grocery. Here's our family pic.

The day before V-day, this arrived after 3 weeks of waiting.

Daddy got it from SM Our Home at 50% off. From Php 34,000++ to Php 17,000++ na lang. That's why I easily convinced Daddy to buy me this kasi naman ang laki ng discount. We just had a minor problem as to where we can put our old sofa but of course if there's a will, there's a way. Kaya nagawan ng remedyo, haha!

By the way, Matthew and I bought a Valentine card for Daddy. I know it's so ancient but I can't think of what to give him. We seemed to have everything he needs so I told Matthew we will buy a Valentine card na lang.

We wrote our love notes to Daddy and out it inside this red envelope on which Matthew wrote "Daddy Mahal".

Because of this, I remember back when we were still studying. Daddy and I wrote a letter a lot. Uy but that's not love letters pa ha. It's a friendly letter lang because we were just bestfriends then. That's uso before so you must have many stationary papers. Sinong relate?

Anyway, I put the Valentine card inside Daddy's laptop so when he open it the next day "surprise!!!". Muntik na nga lang hindi maging surprise because while we were lying like this and Daddy was cleaning my toe nails, Matthew said, "Mommy bigay na natin yun card."

Thank goodness Daddy didn't hear it clearly. I whisper to Matthew and said that's a secret. He giggled and whispered too, "Sige po Mommy, secret." Matthew talaga.

And so when Daddy opened his laptop ayan na ang aming surprise!

On the other hand, I know Daddy had a difficult time also thinking of what to give me on that day. Actually I'm so happy with the sofa set already e. Advanced Valentine gift na nya yun but still he gave me these three sweet Toblerone chocolates.

I must admit, I don't like flowers. For me kasi sayang ang money especially if you will buy on a Valentine's day when the price of flowers are soaring high. But still, I wish Daddy gave me kahit 3 red roses lang. Read this Daddy, haha!

Kasabay ng Valentine's week ay examination week. So kahit cheesy cheesy pa, I had to take a break to teach this little boy.

Finally, we had this simple dinner made extra special because of the people I loved the most.

That's our lovely Valentine celebration. I'll see you again next time ha. Crossing my fingers we'll have our DSL connection installed today.

Have a great week.

Our Valentine's Day 2016

As always, we had a simple celebration of Valentine's Day. We don't have fancy lunch or dinner but it was a joyful day because of the people I spent with.

Let me start with this early surprise from my two boys.

The chocolates are from Daddy while the three calachuchi flowers are from Matthew. Actually, I asked flowers from Matthew. He said he have no money to buy but he will pick up flowers for me daw. So when he rose from bed, he immediately went outside to get those flowers. He even said when he's working an daw he will buy me flowers, cellphone, bag, etc... Oh, I almost forgot, he gave me this pala a week before Valentine's day. So sweet of him.

Those are simple gifts but these already made my day. I am so blessed to have two wonderful boys in my life. And of course, I have my Nanay who's always been my inspiration.

I am always thankful because God keeps her safe and healthy. I am lucky to still spend my everyday with her, taking care of her and showing her how much I love her.

Moving on, because Valentine's day fell on a Sunday, it's a house chore day for me. Kuracha lang ang peg. Alam nyo naman mga Nanay, wala talaga kapaguran yan. Linis dito, ligpit doon kapag nasa bahay. Nataon pang nagday off ang aming kasama. Thank God, my two boys are always a big help for me.

Ooopss... This was after our breakfast and this was our conversation.

Mommy: Anak maglinis ka kaya muna bago ka magtablet.
Matt: E nagpapababa pa po ako ng kinain e.

May tama naman sya, kakain nga naman e. After that naman, he volunteered to help me clean our bedroom.

Then came lunch, I prepared this.

Grilled  liempo and buttered vegetable for our lunch. Thank you to Daddy A for the plating. Speaking of Daddy A, he's missing in action because he's finishing this crochet tiger hat,

So we can go on with our late afternoon date.

Ang gwapo ng dalawa kong ka-date ano? But before anything else, we went to His home to give thanks for everything He's giving us.

We went to the park kaya lang puro tiangge pa din naman. I asked Matthew what he wants, he said sundae.

That's how our date went, simple lang. Happy na kami, happy na si Matthew. We went home na after buying some ingredients for our dinner naman. Dahil ako naman ang nagluto ng lunch and I'm busy studying with Matthew, si Daddy naman ang nagprepare ng dinner.

Matthew can't wait to have dinner na. Haha!

That's our simple Valentine's day celebration. Sabi sa inyo simple lang kami magcelebrate but we see to it we enjoyed the day.

Happy Post Hearts Day!

It's February, the Love month. Already have a surprise for your special one? Well, let me give you an idea how to make a perfect surprise. Here's a video Doug of #teamkramer surprise for his lovely wife, Chesca.

Super kilig isn't it?

From the Press Release Kit:

The sweetest surprises come in the most unexpected circumstances.

Doug Kramer—a player in the Philippine Basketball Association who is known as GlobalPort Batang Pier’s power forward—revealed last January 31, 2016 his biggest surprise yet for his wife, Cheska Garcia-Kramer.

Cheska is a known actress, social media icon and mother to Kendra, Scarlet and Gavin. The family is widely known in the country as ‘Team Kramer.’

According to Ned Bandojo, Head of Marketing of Red Ribbon, Doug took his Valentine’s Day surprise to Cheska to new romantic heights by proclaiming his love for his wife via a 40 by 60 ft billboard along C5 Bagong Ilog Bridge in Pasig City.

“Doug found a very unusual way of showing his love for Cheska, and it is something beyond imaginable,” Bandojo said. “We, his Red Ribbon family, are really glad to be part of Doug’s pre-Valentine’s Day surprise to Cheska because this only shows how the brand complements Valentine’s.  We hope that, together with our Valentine’s Black Forest cake, we were able to bring in more sweetness to their relationship and to the whole family as well.”

Red Ribbon—one of the leading bakeshop chains in the Philippines—is set to launch on February 12,2016 its Valentine’s Black Forest Cake, a limited edition heart-shaped variant that’s made with rich chocolate, fluffy cream and juicy cherries.

“The Valentine’s Black Forest Cake allows couples to rekindle their sweetest memories on Valentine’s Day. If you want to surprise your loved one with something different just like what Doug did to Cheska, then Red Ribbon’s limited edition offering is the right one for you,” Bandojo said.
He concluded, “Surprises may come in different ways, forms and times, but it’s always for the right reason—it’s to show how much couples mean to each other.”

You can also make your loved ones’ Valentine’s day sweeter with Red Ribbon Valentine Black Forest cake which will be available from 12 to February 14, 2016.

The Secret to A Long-Lasting Relationship

Because it's Love Month and I get inspired with Ate Farida's article on Modern Filipina: 10 Couples Share the Secrets to Their Long-Lasting Love, I'll share our secret too.

This July, we will celebrate our 7th year of marriage, but our relationship will be 12 years na. Still far from celebrating silver anniversary but with God's will we'll be together even beyond our golden anniversary. So what's the secret of long-lasting love? Let me share ours.

Aside from having a lot of patience, understanding and love, and open communication, here are our secret of a long-lasting relationship.

One goal in life. I think this is important in any relationship. Having one goal let us walk in the same direction. Though there are still some issues we don't agree with, the bottom line is we reconcile for our one goal in life.

Inspire each other. Let be an inspiration to each other. To be a better person and to have a better self. A better self, means a better you. And being a better you, you become a better partner as well.

Support and motivate each other. During the early years of our relationship, Daddy was struggling to prove his self. There was a time he thought I underestimate his capability by constantly reminding him what he should do. But the truth, I just want him to succeed without knowing I was already stepping on his pride. When I realized that I was not helping him, I let him do what he think is right. I support and motivate him instead. He did succeed and I am always proud of him.

Believe and trust each other. Sometimes this is not easy especially once the trust is broken but if you truly love each other everything is possible.

Share same interest or passion. We are lucky that both of us loves blogging, cooking, crafts and crocheting. We may not often go out, just the two of us, but spending time together doing what we love both serves as our bonding time.

Time for each other. We always find time to have fun and enjoy every minute of being together. I think this is one of the problems why a relationship is falling apart. For a Mom like me, we prioritize our children to the point that we already ignoring the needs of our husband. I am not saying to be less of a mother, the point is we forget that before we have our kids, we have our husband's first. Before we become a mother, we are a wife first. Our partner deserves our time as much as our kids do.

God is in our center. Above everything else, we put God in the center of our relationship. We entrust everything to Him. When we encounter problems and difficulties, we always ask for strength from Him. When we are receiving so much blessings we never forget to thank Him. Through the years, we learn to trust Him for all His plans. We keep our strong faith and believe everything will be alright because He is with us, within us and in our center.

Remember that every relationship has its ups and downs. Time may come that both of you can't fix the relationship anymore. If the love is still there, don't be afraid or ashamed to seek help. If you can't confide to your relatives or friends, you may enter a couple therapy. Good thing is online marriage counselling is now available if you feel awkward to go to their clinics.

Anyway, we still have a long way to go. Our relationship is not perfect. Trials will come and go. There are times we were tested, that time I want to give up. But I choose not to because I trust God that He gave me the right man worth loving and fighting for.

The two of us, we just don't love each other, we take care of each other. We just don't understand each other, we believe in each other and we have a strong faith in God. That's the secret, the two of us and God in our center. Nothing is impossible to God.

To my best half, Daddy Allan, happy hearts day mahal. Like what I am always saying, I can't imagine anyone in your place. I am always thankful and blessed because God gave me you. I love you soooo much!

Hey, I know you have your stories too. Please share through the comment box and I will love to read your stories too.

Advance Happy Valentine's day!
