Sunday's Best: World of Fun Re-visited + the Coming Halloween

Sundays are for family.

After a week of spending most of our times outside home at work, we see to it that we give our whole Sunday to our little boy. So after hearing a mass, we usually go to the nearest mall and let him have fun.

One of his favorite place to visit is World of Fun.

Once he entered World of Fun, he's unstoppable. He first tried picking stuffed toys at this prize-dispensing machine. However, he is not lucky enough to pick one. Maybe next time anak.

His first visit at World of Fun was when he was just 1 year old. At that time he still can ride the kiddie rides there. But now that he's a big boy, he appreciate the games like this.

It was a day full of fun for him, and since he can't get enough, we went again there one Sunday.

This time, he tried the fishing game.

He also tried riding one of the kiddie rides that can still carry him. We also allowed him to play video games, where he enjoyed the most.

Aside from the above games, there are sports game like basket ball and bowling, shooting games, dance and music games, and KTV rooms and videoke stage. You can watch our Instagram stories for the videos.

By the way, August will be over soon. Ber months are coming. That was so fast right? I am sure everyone is looking forward to Christmas holidays. But, not too fast, because before Christmas, there's Halloween.

In our country, not all are fond of celebrating Halloween but there are many malls now that are having Trick or Treat events yearly. In other part of the world though, Halloween is one of the exciting holidays children are waiting for to dress up to their favorite characters. So Halloween, like Christmas, is one of the their largest spending holidays. Check out the Halloween spending statistics.

In the coming years, I know Halloween will evolve and be a bigger celebration here. I am also sure that my son will be one of those children who will dress up in their favorite character, and who's his favorite character? No other than Iron Man!

Do you have Sunday's best stories too? Let me hear from you.

Our Weekend via Instagram

Hey dearies! What's up? It's been a while since I posted na I will make up for the lost posts, este time here. I'm so sorry kasi naayos nga internet connection namin, nawalan naman ako ng time. Super busy kasi sa work and all I want to do when I get home is to rest. Ayaw na gumana ng utak ko.

Anyway, kwento ko na lang how our weekend went via Instagram. By the way, please follow me naman on Intagram: @mommymaye. Thanks! Mwaah!

So our weekend started with this pleasant surprise from Belo Baby! My son was so happy because he loves Belo Baby products so much.

The truth is kahit big boy na sya he's still using baby products. I make sure he's safe from harmful chemicals the regular products have. Nga pala, please watch out for our Belo Baby product review ha.

Since Daddy was still at work, yup meeting on a Saturday, I decided to cook... Guess what?

It's sinigang na fried bangus. Yes, I love the bangus fried kapag sinigang. Nawawala kasi yun lansa nya e and feeling ko madali alisin ang mga tinik nya.

When Daddy was going home na he asked me if we have patis. I remember tuloy a short story from our High School English class, "Where's the Patis?"

Then come Sunday, after hearing a mass we went to the market and bought home stuff that we needed. After that, we decided to spend the rest of the day at our home sweet home.

It's always love spending time with my two boys. And because it's always a special day with them, I decided to cook a special dinner.

A special dinner was served!

And our weekend ended with this. Daddy A teaching Matthew his advance lesson.

Like I said, now words can describe how I feel every time I see these two.  It's all LOVE!

Oh sha... Our bed is calling me to sleep na kaya lang Daddy A was still not here. Parating pala. Time check: 9:10 PM. Hay, I don't want to rant but sometimes work is too much. Anyway, I will still choose to feel blessed rather than stressed.

Good vibes na lang! Lapit na ulit weekends e.

Sunday Fun Date with Daddy A and Matthew

I love Sunday! Sunday is always for family. I see to it that we spend quality time together. We eat special breakfast together.

But last Sunday, Matthew had his last day of examination.

Yes, Sunday because this week sem break na nila. Okay lang para matapos na exams niya. Nakakastress kasi we had to review every night, hehe.

Anyway, because it's Sunday we went to Church after his exam.

But before I go on, let me show you first my new pair of sneakers from World Balance.

Matthew said "wow, polka dots pa talaga mommy", then Daddy said pwede na daw pang-New Year. Mag-ama nga talaga sila, lakas mang-asar, haha!

After hearing a mass, we went to SM Marilao. We really don't go that much sa malls unless we have something very important to buy or mag-grocery kami.

Our first stop should be Ace Hardware but since I promised to buy Matthew a new set of Cogo we went to the Department Store's toy section first. Guess what, he changed his mind and buy a stuffed toy instead. I'll show you what he bought later.

It was past 12 na pala, nagutom na kami kaya we ate our lunch muna.

We want to try McDonald's McShare box of chicken but their branch their was under renovation pa so we ended up at KFC, ang fave namin ni Daddy A. Haha.

We always order KFCs Street Wise at 419 pesos, good for 3 persons na and sobra pa nga we have take out pa. Daddy added 2 mini sundae, bago yan sa KFC. Masarap sya ha, creamy and milky.

We are not really choosy, chicken lang okay na kami hehe. (Read:  Our Kenny Rogers Roasters OMG Unfried Fried Chicken Experience) See that cute smile from Matthew?

Chubby cheeks showing his dimples. This boy grows so fast that he eats like one big person na.

After our full tummy lunch, we went to Ace Hardware. We will start with our home renovation plan. Daddy bought paints and paint tools.

Aside from paints, we had other stuff to buy pa. Good thing Matthew was very cooperative that he said he will just play with his tablet. He was sitting on the floor when a sales lady saw her. She gave him a seat. So bait right?

We left him in that spot with the guard around. But syempre I was not comfortable leaving him there so once in awhile sinisilip ko sya.

Sobrang nakakaaliw umikot sa Ace Hardware because a mommy like loves home stuff. See those Christmas lights and decors? Next time when our Christmas tree is up, we will buy those.

I also love this corner. Andito mga mirrors and hanging shelves.

Napapicture tuloy ako that makes me regret seeing I am still fat. Bakit kasi love na love ako ng mga fats na yan. I am stuck at my current weight na. Tamad kasi mag-exercise, hay.

Moving on na nga. Daddy bought LED light and padlock then we went to the cashier na. Talagang we stick to our to buy list and after that we went to Hypermarket. Matthew was complaing na ubos na laman ng "tindahan nya." Meaning his food supply, haha.

Our mall trip is just always quick. We went home after so Matthew still have time to play outside with his playmates. This has been his routine every day. Before 5 in the afternoon he will go out na. Kahit chubby yan he is very active. He's like nakawalang kabayo sa kwadra sa pagtakbo nya, haha. When play time is over, he will go home, take a rest while talking and talking, and wash time na.

Then there's silence. Ganito na eksena kapag Goin Bulilit na. So serious the little boy.

And because it's Sunday, we had our special dinner. My spaghetti, our take out chicken and tacos.

After a busy and tiring day, all I just want to see is this boy's happy smile with his new companion, Leonardo.

Much more when he told me, "Mommy, ang saya-saya po ng araw na ito! I love you."  Just what I need to energize me for another busy work week.

Dearies, how's your weekend? Kwentuhan tayo :)

Our Valentine's Day 2016

As always, we had a simple celebration of Valentine's Day. We don't have fancy lunch or dinner but it was a joyful day because of the people I spent with.

Let me start with this early surprise from my two boys.

The chocolates are from Daddy while the three calachuchi flowers are from Matthew. Actually, I asked flowers from Matthew. He said he have no money to buy but he will pick up flowers for me daw. So when he rose from bed, he immediately went outside to get those flowers. He even said when he's working an daw he will buy me flowers, cellphone, bag, etc... Oh, I almost forgot, he gave me this pala a week before Valentine's day. So sweet of him.

Those are simple gifts but these already made my day. I am so blessed to have two wonderful boys in my life. And of course, I have my Nanay who's always been my inspiration.

I am always thankful because God keeps her safe and healthy. I am lucky to still spend my everyday with her, taking care of her and showing her how much I love her.

Moving on, because Valentine's day fell on a Sunday, it's a house chore day for me. Kuracha lang ang peg. Alam nyo naman mga Nanay, wala talaga kapaguran yan. Linis dito, ligpit doon kapag nasa bahay. Nataon pang nagday off ang aming kasama. Thank God, my two boys are always a big help for me.

Ooopss... This was after our breakfast and this was our conversation.

Mommy: Anak maglinis ka kaya muna bago ka magtablet.
Matt: E nagpapababa pa po ako ng kinain e.

May tama naman sya, kakain nga naman e. After that naman, he volunteered to help me clean our bedroom.

Then came lunch, I prepared this.

Grilled  liempo and buttered vegetable for our lunch. Thank you to Daddy A for the plating. Speaking of Daddy A, he's missing in action because he's finishing this crochet tiger hat,

So we can go on with our late afternoon date.

Ang gwapo ng dalawa kong ka-date ano? But before anything else, we went to His home to give thanks for everything He's giving us.

We went to the park kaya lang puro tiangge pa din naman. I asked Matthew what he wants, he said sundae.

That's how our date went, simple lang. Happy na kami, happy na si Matthew. We went home na after buying some ingredients for our dinner naman. Dahil ako naman ang nagluto ng lunch and I'm busy studying with Matthew, si Daddy naman ang nagprepare ng dinner.

Matthew can't wait to have dinner na. Haha!

That's our simple Valentine's day celebration. Sabi sa inyo simple lang kami magcelebrate but we see to it we enjoyed the day.

Happy Post Hearts Day!

MMA 12th Foundation Day

Last October 5, Matthew's school, Mary Mount Academy, celebrated their 12th Foundation Day. Matthew had a dance presentation that's why we took the half day off.

For this year, the theme is "It's fun! It's Fitness! It's Zumba Kids". They also assigned color code per section. For prep and kinder, it's red and white. Here's our little boy posing before the program start.

The little kids got so hyper while waiting for the program to start.

Finally the program started. Every grade level had their zumba dance presentation. The first group to present was Kinder-Prep kids. Dancing to the tune of "I really really like you", look how cute they are.

Kahit hindi sabay-sabay for me their dance presentation is the best. Just a proud mom here, haha! Anyway, Daddy uploaded the video here:

Other grade levels showed their zumba dance moves too.

Also, some mommies showed their dancing prowess too.

Aside from the dance contest, the program includes the search for Little Ms. and Mr. and Ms. and Mr. Mary Mount.

When the winners of the dance contest were announced the Kinder-Prep kids were so happy even if they only got the last place in their level.

Good that the school gave trophies to all and I liked that they made the kids feel they are all winners. Just look at our Matthew here.

It was indeed a fun day. It's really good to have such activities once in awhile. This event shouldn't be missed out because this is one way of showing our kids our love and support to boost their confidence.

By the way, the school also had their Parents' Day. Daddy attended and they had so much fun. I wished I was there too but I can't take a leave from work anymore. Daddy will surely blog about it.

Have a happy weekend everyone!
