Our 12th Anniversary

More than a month ago, we celebrated our 12th anniversary and our 17th year of being in love.

In a few months, we will be four and this is one of the best gifts we received.

To celebrate, Daddy A availed the Shakey's Home Bonding Offer. It comes with a large thin-crust pizza, four pieces Chicken ‘N’ Mojos, a Skilletti or Carbonara platter, 1.5 liter of Coke and a SuperCard+ for only P999. Makakasave daw ng P1,052!

We celebrated one day earlier because our anniversary fell on Monday as requested by our not so little boy.

Daddy A also bought this Red Ribbon Black Forest cake but gusto ko sana yung Peach Mango Symphony cake nila kaso waley.

My taste buds doesn't like chocolates that time pero okay na din. Happy pa din ang buntis!

Then, Daddy A surprised me with this gift set.

The next day, our anniversary day, Daddy A and I decided to order Pancit Malabon because I was craving for it. He also bought kwek-kwek, barbeque and isaw.

This is the new normal celebration now. Kami kami lang talaga. But despite this we are grateful because God keeps us safe and healthy. That's more than enough to celebrate and be thankful for.

To end this post, I would just like to thank my best half, Daddy A. Thank you for taking care of us, especially me and our baby. This pregnancy is not easy. I am worrying a lot because of the current pandemic situation. But you, our little boy and our coming baby keep me sane and strong. Thank you for loving us and for understanding my pregnancy woes. We love you always. Cheers to more years and to forever.

Father's Day 2020 Quarantine Edition

If there's a Mother's Day 2020 ECQ Edition, there's Father's Day 2020 Quarantine Edition too.

Celebrating special occasions in the house is the new normal and we need to get used to it. It is safer than dining out right? Besides we can't take our children out too. So this Father's day, unlike the previous years, we celebrate it at home.

Our not so little boy was so thoughtful to make a donut cake for his Dad. Look at that little boy's look of admiration towards his Dad.

When he woke up he told me he will get a donut and put candle on it to give to his Daddy. Kasi daw iginawa naman daw sya ng Daddy ng pancake noong birthday nya. Such a loving boy!

It was a Sunday and we spent the whole morning cleaning and organizing things at home. Daddy A cleaned his garden naman.

I thought of just ordering food, however, fully booked na mga food deliveries around. Craving for pancit malabon pa naman. I should have done it the day before pala. My bad!

That's why even if the preggy mom was not feeling well, I got up and cooked. In less than an hour, I finished cooking spaghetti. Our little boy naman cooked siomai, shanghai and hotdog. Then we still have donuts, soda and juice in the refrigerator. There, we have our Father's Day lunch.

For dinner, I ordered liempo with free kimchi (hindi sya kasi umabot sa lunch so dinner na nadeliver). We have sweet corn, left over shanghai and siomai, lettuce from Daddy A's garden and Tiramisu.

Good food is always at home right? That's how we celebrate Father's day. Actually, is not about the food. It's the thoughts that counts. Agree?

To my best half, Happy Fathers's Day. We are so lucky to have you especially in these trying times. You make my pregnancy journey easier. Thank you for always cooking for us. For understanding my mood swings. For thinking about us first. For always taking care of us. You have loved me even when I am not lovable at all. Time tested us so many times but we always choose to stay that makes our love much stronger. There's no perfect relationship and the storms we brave are tests that will just make us better. Soon we will be four. God is so good for blessing us with another bundle of joy. He definitely has the best plan for us. Let's keep our faith in Him stronger. May God blessed you with good health and keep you safe always. We love you so much.

Mother's Day 2020 ECQ Edition

Because of the health pandemic we are facing now, most of the celebrations are done in the Enhanced Community Quarantine way.

Just like my 39th birthday, we celebrated Mother's Day 2020 at home.

Daddy A bought a cake from Bread Talk because I was craving for black forest cake.

Unfortunately, since I am still having morning sickness, I didn't enjoy eating the cake. But I can't be happier, because our son is with us already.

Daddy fetched him the day before Mother's Day. Naaawa na siya siguro sa akin because I kept saying "sana andito anak natin." Biglang nawala yung hilo and discomfort I am feeling because my son is with us na. Hindi na ko masyadong nag-aalala.

When he woke up that morning, he went straight to me and said "Mommy two times ka pala nagcecelebrate ng birthday mo, e. Happy Mother's Day!" He kissed and hugged me, and my heart melts.

I was also happy because of the food daddy brought from Nueva Ecija.

Cravings satisfied na naman.

By the way, I also started to do the 10-minute yoga for pregnant woman.

It feels so good after. Grabe makapawis.

For lunch, I cooked Chicken Arroz Valenciana.

Arroz Valenciana

I have been craving for it, yun lang nasuya ata ako. Haha!

As I have said, this pregnancy is more difficult than my first because of the morning sickness I am experiencing. But nevertheless, I feel so blessed because we are now complete.

To all the mommas, Happy Mother's Day. One day is not enough to celebrate your greatness. Let everyday be our day.

New Year's Day 2020

Four months after, here's our New Year' day celebration.

Read also: Media Noche 2020

No kidding yes, I am posting how we spent our New Year's day. This to remind everyone that amidst the health crisis we are going through right now, there are so many things to be grateful for. Like our family.

Let me start our story with this cute not so little boy who opened all his coin banks on New Year's day.

It has been our tradition to open his coin banks on the first day of the year. Daddy A helped him. He don't save that much as we don't give him money regularly. But at least he knows how to save and that's more important.

Also, every year, it's our tradition to take our first family picture of the year. Look who've got his first picture for the year.

He took advantage while we are still dressing up. Such a happy boy!

We did our best to get the best shots.

More photos of us.

But this is my favorite.

And it is also our tradition to hear a mass on the first day of the year.

We thank God for the year that was and for the new year that is about to start.

By the way, that is the world’s tallest statue of the Divine Mercy.

The 100-feet tall monument stands atop a four-storey multipurpose building at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy’s compound.

This photo is also my favorite. We tried to get the statue as background but it was still bright where he stood.

That's my quick story of how we started 2020. We may not doing good now because of the health pandemic we are battling, but let us remember that God is here. God is good, all the time.

The CLSU Christmas Lights 2019

Have you read my Christmas Eve 2019 post? Sobrang late na I know but still these are all worth to share.

On Christmas day, we prepared food for lunch.

Aside from Daddy A's relatives, I am expecting my siblings to arrive din. We had lunch and long kwentuhan.

Before evening naman we decided to go to CLSU main gate to see its Christmas lights display. Since it's just a few steps away from Daddy A's house, we decided to just walk.

So here are the photos taken from CLSU main gate Christmas lights display.

This reminds me of my Singapore trip, 3 years ago na yata na hindi ko na naipost. Haha!

Who would have know I'll end up marrying my best friend?

And we will have this cuddly little boy.

Our little boy is unstoppable. He asked for more photos in front of CLSU Christmas Lights display.

Like father, like son.

Let's come inside CLSU na.

This is the CLSU Leaders Tree. It is one the oldest trees in the university. It is once a towering Acacia tree that had provided a lofty shed for those who passed by CLSU main gate. However, because it gets older, it had started to wither and grow weak. To preserve its significance and prevent the harm it might cause as the tree started to wane that some of its branches give way when it rained, it was decided that the tree be turned into a CLSU’s Golden Anniversary Marker on which were etched the faces of the University Presidents since the university’s humble beginnings up to the present and commemorate their contributions to the development and growth of CLSU. I remember when we were still studying here, we will go in front of Admi (as we called it) and sit on the grass. While snacking on fishball, kwek-kwek, chips paired with Coke, kwentuhan lang kami hanggang sa dumilim na. Yun na yung sign na uwian na, hehe. Those simple life I missed, wala pa kasi cellphone noon kaya we can bond until maubusan na ng kwento.

Kakaaliw itong bahay kubo.

Nakita nyo yung pugad sa taas? Naalala ko tuloy si Tatay ko na may mga alagang native na manok na lagi naming kinukuhaan ng itlog pang umagahan. Simple life again that I missed so much.

Teka, may nagca-caroling pala.

At kasama pa si Bantay (the dog).

That's it pancit! Sabi syo it is worth sharing kahit medyo late na. Next naman is our New Year's Eve celebration ha. Balik kayo!
