Our 12th Anniversary

More than a month ago, we celebrated our 12th anniversary and our 17th year of being in love.

In a few months, we will be four and this is one of the best gifts we received.

To celebrate, Daddy A availed the Shakey's Home Bonding Offer. It comes with a large thin-crust pizza, four pieces Chicken ‘N’ Mojos, a Skilletti or Carbonara platter, 1.5 liter of Coke and a SuperCard+ for only P999. Makakasave daw ng P1,052!

We celebrated one day earlier because our anniversary fell on Monday as requested by our not so little boy.

Daddy A also bought this Red Ribbon Black Forest cake but gusto ko sana yung Peach Mango Symphony cake nila kaso waley.

My taste buds doesn't like chocolates that time pero okay na din. Happy pa din ang buntis!

Then, Daddy A surprised me with this gift set.

The next day, our anniversary day, Daddy A and I decided to order Pancit Malabon because I was craving for it. He also bought kwek-kwek, barbeque and isaw.

This is the new normal celebration now. Kami kami lang talaga. But despite this we are grateful because God keeps us safe and healthy. That's more than enough to celebrate and be thankful for.

To end this post, I would just like to thank my best half, Daddy A. Thank you for taking care of us, especially me and our baby. This pregnancy is not easy. I am worrying a lot because of the current pandemic situation. But you, our little boy and our coming baby keep me sane and strong. Thank you for loving us and for understanding my pregnancy woes. We love you always. Cheers to more years and to forever.

Our 10th Wedding Anniversary

Last month marked our 10th year as husband and wife, and our 15th year as lovers, haha.

We have no plans of any fancy celebration. For us kasi, everyday should be a celebration. It's enough that we have each other through all these years. Naks!

Anyway, Daddy A surprised me with this bouquet of flowers early in the morning.

Honestly, I am not comfortable receiving flowers because nasasayangan ako. You know flowers are expensive. Hehe.

But since Daddy A made an effort to surprise me, sige na nga I love flowers na lalo na may cake pang kasama.

Then before we went to work, picture muna with my mahal, Daddy A.

Also with my sweetie pie, Matthew Andrei.

And off to work I thought the surprise is over. But while I was sitting pretty on the passenger seat, he gave me this cute pink box.

I thought it was a necklace but it was a ring.

I was surprised and the first word I said, "Magkano?" Haha. Umiral ang pagiging kuripot. When he said the price, I asked him why he bought it because for me it's very expensive. He said, it's our 10th year and I deserve it. Sweet!

I am not a materialistic person. I am a realistic and practical person. I don't like buying expensive things because they are just things. Gets? Hehe.

So sabi ko nga we have no plans of any bonggang celebration that day because we have work. But we had dinner at our home sweet home. All prepared by Daddy A because Matthew and I were reviewing for his examination the next day. Another reason why we opted not to go out that night.

Come Sunday, after hearing a mass we eat lunch out.

Oh I almost forgot, Daddy also bought me a new phone. Check out his review on the new Samsung A6+.

So thankful for our 10 years of marriage. It is not always easy, but we always chose to be thankful, grateful and happy. There are hardships but we are blessed in so many ways. We are blessed with a son.

I may never have a daughter or another child, but he will always be enough to complete our happiness. He's my shopping and eating buddy.

And to my mahal, Daddy A, I love you and I will forever be by your side no matter what. Cheers to our 10 years and to our forever.

Our 9th Year + 4 Surprises

Yay! It's been more than a week since my last post. August na pala, where did July goes?

July has been a very busy month. As in, morning palang super busy na. I am back to making bento once again, which will I share to you next naman. But you can follow me at Instagram and Facebook because I post my daily bento baon ideas there. This post kasi is for our 9th wedding anniversary that we had celebrated last July 27. Yep, July 27. So this a super late post.

Like our previous anniversaries, we chose to celebrate our 9th year with a simple dinner at home. Since both of us are busy at work and we have a little boy to attend to, our travel plan did't push through. It's okay for us naman because we still have no househelp and syempre hindi din namin maenjoy if we keep on thinking about our son.

Ang haba ba ng explanation noh? Anyway, we just had a simple dinner but I got 4 surprises! I cooked spaghetti and we just bought fried chicken.

wedding anniversary, marriage, celebration

By the way, those flowers, which was surprise #1, were from Daddy A of course. He seldom gave me flowers because he knows I didn't like it kasi mahal nga, haha. That's why I was surprise when he handed me a bouquet of red and white roses.

red roses, white roses, roses, wedding anniversary

When Matthew saw the flowers, he teased us... "Uy! May nagliligawan!" Haha!

Of course, I didn't waste this moment and took photos with the roses. Matthew joined me too and he told me pala, "Mommy, gagayahin ko po si Daddy. Magbibigay din ako ng flowers sa asawa ko." Asawa agad talaga anak? Hehe!

Then before having our dinner, we took some photos of the three of us.

This was surprise #2 from our little boy. He told me he can't buy us gift yet kaya heto daw muna.

When we were almost done with our dinner, I saw this on the table in the kitchen. Surprise #3 was this Red Ribbon dedication cake.

Red Ribbon, Dedication cake, chocolate cake

I thought the day was over na, but I saw a little box inside my bag. When I opened it, I saw this!

It may not be expensive but it is priceless because of the man who gave me this.

With what Daddy A gave me, naguilty naman ako kasi I didn't have gift for him. So I told him to buy the shoes he wants. Wala kasi ako time to go out even online shopping.

Anyway, more than those material things, it's the time, love, understanding and patient that Daddy A gave me I am most thankful for. I know sometimes I make it hard for him but still he never gave up on me.

To Daddy A, I want you to know that I appreciate everything you are doing for us. Thank you for everything. I love and will always be here for you no matter what.

Happy 8th Wedding Anniversary to Us!

8 years ago we had our covenant before God. We vowed to love each other through sickness and health, through good and bad, through richer and poorer until death parts us.

Time flies so fast. Eight years had passed just like that. Our relationship is far from perfection. We had our shortcomings as husband and wife. But at the end of the day, we always choose to understand and love each other. Those 8 years were never easy but I believe those are part of God’s plan to make us better persons.

Recently, when I had my most painful event in my life, you are here to comfort me. No words can ever comfort me but your presence makes me feel better. The pain will not go but knowing you are here by my side throughout these tough times in my life is just enough. Thanking you may not enough but I'll say it anyway :)

Daddy, we may not have a big celebration tonight but having you and Matthew will just enough to complete this special day. Salamat sa pang-unawa at pagmamahal.I pray to God to make me a better wife. A more understanding, caring and loving wife you deserve. Always remember that amidst everything, I love and I will love you forever.

Happy 8th wedding anniversary Daddy. Cheers to 13 years of love. May God continue to bless us with strength, good health and love. I love you!

Monday Inspiration: Happy 7/12th to Us

July 27th is the day we chose to risk our long years of friendship for love... And I must say, I never regret it because today is our 7th wedding anniversary and our 12th year of love.

What we have is not really perfect but our marriage is one of biggest blessings God gave me. I will never stop thanking God for giving me the best partner. I can not think of anyone who can fill the other half of my heart. We may shortcomings and imperfections but at the end of the day, it's the love, trust and respect that makes our marriage stronger and worth fighting for.

With that let me share this great reminder for all of us husbands and wives.

2014, The Year that Was

Year 2014 had been a roller coaster ride for our family. But I still consider 2014 as a great year. Though they were bumps, there were more opportunities  for us. I can't deny the fact that last year, we had learned a lot.

So let's make a recap of our 2014.

Nanay's 67th birthday. We went too our hometown to celebrate Nanay's birthday last February. My other siblings and their kids attended our mini celebration at Jollibee, Science City of Muñoz.

Momaye's Diary Turns 3

I actually create this blog in 2010. My very first post was about the banner I made. Then the next post I made was in October 2011 and it's about Matthew Andrei, our precious little one

Since the first post I made was not really a post, I'll consider the post I made after a year the start of my blogging journey. So this month, Momaye's Diary turns 3.

Our 6th Wedding + The Search for a New Stroller

Hello everyone! How's your holiday? We had a super long weekend. Unfortunately, we didn't got a chance to go far away from home because of one, fear of the heavy traffic and two, I needed to get a good rest because I already felt my whole body aching. Thank God, I feel better now.

Sunday was our 6th wedding anniversary our 11th year of relationship. Yes, we are lucky to get married on the same day of our anniversary :)

Since, we already heard about the heavy traffic at NLEX and exits. We just content ourselves on spending the entire day at home. After hearing a mass, we went to the nearest grocery to buy some stuff needed for our anniversary dinner (just at home). Luckily, the booth selling cars was open. Just imagine how excited our little car addict was. He couldn't decide what to pick and buy until he finally chose 3 small cars at 30 pesos each. They were cheap but those cars are durable and so cute. I actually regret not taking photos of these cars.

Super Long Weekend + Our Anniversary

How's your week going guys? I hope everything is just light and easy. I have been missing in action for more than a week not only because of work, but because of typhoon Glenda and the total lost of internet connection.

Since after typhoon Glenda, we lost our internet connection at work and ours at home is so slow. It was just yesterday that the internet connection here at our office was fixed. It was terrible without the internet connection at work. I was forced to load up our Smart Bro stick but it was so so so slow. I can't even attach a doc file and it was stressful receiving follow ups of reports. Anyway, it was over and hopefully we will not lose the internet connection EVER again.

By the way, last week I was talking about Eid'l Fitr (Feast of Ramadhan) on July 29 and wishing that July 28 is a holiday too. Just this morning I have learned that the Bulacan government declared July 28 as provincial holiday for INC Centennial. So now, I am looking forward to a super long weekend.

Our Wooden Anniversary

Last Saturday, we have celebrated our wooden anniversary. It's the 5th year of our marriage and the 10th year of our love. Yes, we got married on the same day we discovered we love each other more than a friend.

As usual, we have a simple celebration. I cooked macaroni spaghetti as requested by Daddy Allan. I went home first because he was in Tarlac for an audit and the next day also he needs to be in our plant here in Bulacan. So all plans cancelled. Talking about "good" timing noh?

Going back, I cooked macaroni spaghetti. When the sauce was about to boil, the fire went out. My gulay, we ran out of LPG pa. I get my wallet to see if I have cash. Luckily I have 600 pesos and I borrow 50 pesos from my brother. I told Daddy to call for LPG delivery the soonest. Thank God it arrived fast and have it installed asap.

We all waited for Daddy until almost 8 in the evening. When he parked the car, the little boy went out so happy and delighted. Guess what he get first? I saw him holding a box of cake roll Daddy bought. He kept on saying "I have a Pocoyo cake." Yes, he can't forget his yummy Pocoyo cake.

The Day I Say I Do (5 years ago)

I woke up today still feeling tired and exhausted, but with a happy heart.

Today is a special day so I should start the day right. And so I position myself on the bed and do my rounds of sit ups. As I am close to finishing the first round, I heard someone is giggling and imitating what I am doing. So I turn to my side and see this cute little boy with the cutest smile. I tell you, you can't resist his charm and so I gave him a million kisses.

I continued what I am doing with the little boy beside me copying all my moves while laughing and squealing. I love his laughter, it's so true and genuine. He is just a little boy but he mean the world to me, to his Daddy. He is our true happiness and the biggest blessing so to speak. We may not experience this happiness if not 5 years ago or 10 years ago...

Daily Inspiration: 115th Month of Love

Today is our 115th month of being in love. It may sounds so exaggerated, but yes we always remember the day we finally fall in love with each other. Hehe.

So, I just want to thank again my wonderful husband who is always patient with me. Ayan Daddy I said patient ha. Hehe... I know everyone is telling me that I am so lucky to have you. Matt and I are so lucky  and blessed to have you in our life. I am sure Matt is always proud of you, Sir Chief. Hehe.

Life is not that easy to us but God is always there guiding us all the way. So let us allow Him to lead our way for I know everything happens for a reason.

Photostory: A Simple Celebration

Yesterday was our 4th wedding anniversary. We can't take the day off so instead of celebrating it out, Daddy Allan and I decided to just cook at home. As usual, I cooked the spaghetti, my favorite. Daddy cooked the chicken fingers with cheesy-garlic mayo dip, microwave-baked marble potatoes and microwave-baked fudge. We just bought ice cream to top the fudge. Instead of wine, we had the Tanduay Ice as our drink. I am not an alcohol drinker or I just take a sip and replaced it with cola instead.

So that's how simple we celebrate our wedding anniversary. Maybe next time when we can afford to take a leave, we'll celebrate it out of town or country, if God permits.

Enjoy the rest of the day! Can't wait to go home na!

Photostory: Our 4th Wedding Year

Today is actually one of the special dates in my life. This is the day that my heart received its other half. This is  the start of forever.

Dear Mahal

Thank you for writing  such a nice post this morning. You know that I appreciate every little thing you do for me and Matt. Sometimes, I may say harsh words that might directly or indirectly hurt you but I hope you know what's the real meaning behind it. I love you and I always care for you. Like any other wife, I am just always here at your back to support you. I am always beside you to help you. And I will always be in front of you if it seems you can't make it anymore.

It's been 108 months since we start this roller coaster ride life, but I don't regret every minute of spending my life with you. You and Matt are the biggest blessing God ever gave me. Always remember that I will never trade you for anything this word, and I can sacrifice even my own happiness just to see you both happy.

Here's the song that we love to sing (Grow Old With You):

I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
Oh all I wanna do is grow old with you

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you

I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

Need you
Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

I love you so much and yes I wanna grow old with you.

Mahal Mo
