Our Annual Christmas Party 2018

Last December, we had our annual Christmas Party. Apart from the our plant Christmas Party, it's already a tradition to hold our own department's party. Every year we agreed to chip in an amount to buy food and raffle prizes.

Christmas Party, work, Working Mom, colleagues, Food,

We had our lunch.

There's food overload! Which we shared with other departments too.

A little raffle then we had our afternoon snack too.

It's also a tradition for Daddy A and I to prepare simple gifts for our colleagues.

We've been doing this for 15 years already. This is a tradition we want to pass to our little boy. (Read: Matthew's Christmas Party 2018)

To share our blessings with our hardworking staff and colleagues.

They are our blessings at work, who makes our daily life easier and happier. There's never a dull moment with them.

So thankful for another year spent with them and looking forward to more years of joyful work together.

May God continue to guide us as we do our work and responsibility everyday, to provide for our own family. Cheers to a much better new year for us!

Matthew's Christmas Party 2018

Two weeks ago, Matthew's Christmas Party was held. Can't believe how time flies because this little boy grow so fast. Look how big he is now.

I am not sure but for this year I think they don't have the usual program because it was examination week. Actually, it was the last day of their examination.

Instead, they had their party in their respective rooms where they eat their Jollibee meals.

They also had their usual exchange gift.

Because I want to instill on him that it's better to give than to receive, we prepared gifts for his teachers and classmates.

Christmas, Christmas gift, Christmas Party, gifts,

I told him by giving he should not expect something in return. Just be happy and enjoy the day with his friends and classmates.

Which he did!

And he went home with this cute panda cap.

He loves it, isn't it obvious? Haha.

He wore that hat the entire day and night!

That's another mommy story I want to share with you. I really missed posting something like this, sharing stories about our not so little boy or just sharing my thoughts. I have to admit that because there's Instagram and Facebook already, which is a faster way to share stories now, it's time consuming to write personal post like this. Still, I am writing here at my online mommy diary to remind everyone that blogging is still fun.

Hey, I want to hear read your stories too. Let's share?

Matthew's Christmas Party 2015

Yesterday was Matthew's Christmas party. Thanks God the weather is better yesterday. Although it drizzle a little, the school's Christmas party was a success.

Of course, we bought him new clothes minus the shoes because he sad, okay pa naman daw shoes nya. He's maturing na :)

Picture taking before going to school.

Time flies really fast. He's a baby no more.

Look at that smile. This is the day he's been waiting for since last week. Thank God for the good weather.

As usual, each grade level had their own presentation. The kinder and prep danced to the tune of Magmahalan Tayo by Alden Richards.

Most of the presentations are dance. No carolers this time so I missed the sound of sax from the woodwind family.

The cuties after the presentation while waiting for the big bee!

And here's the most popular orange bee on earth, Jollibee!

This is the best shot Daddy got as the kids, including the teachers and parents were all around Jollibee waiting for their turn to take photos. Atleast Matthew was just beside Jollibee, haha.

After watching Jollibee, it's eating time and gift giving.

Before the program ends, the school director gave Matthew and his two other classmates who won at the APRSIM Sporsfest, Academic and Cultural Competition a Christmas gift.

This what he got. Maybe they can't think of something to give so money na lang. I asked Matthew what he wants to buy but he said we will add this to his savings account. Yey, he knows how to save.

By the way, just like last year's Christmas party, the gifts come from the parents as the secret Santa. So when we went to the mall, we asked him to choose what he wants Santa to give him. He chose one of these car and he wanted to get it right then and there. But I told him he can get three if he can wait, pumayag naman.

His classmates were teasing him because he got a small gift but when he opened it and saw the three cars, he was so happy. Now, he kept on asking me why Santa bought the three cars. I told him Santa saw that he is a good child that's why he bought the cars. And that makes him smile, simple joy!

Oh, just 6 days to go before Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone and enjoy the weekend!

On Christmas Party and Drunk Driving

We really can’t stop Christmas from coming. Just in case you lost track of the countdown, it’s only 42 days to go before Christmas. Time flies really, really fast!

As Christmas is fast approaching, not only mall sales are everywhere. Expect Christmas parties are everywhere too. For sure many companies and institutions are already planning for their Christmas parties, as early as now. There are companies that hold their Christmas parties as early as the first week of December, while some do it on the second or third week.

Yesterday, our Admin already called a meeting for our Christmas party. Yup, we needed to lay down the plan and to appoint committees so that we can compute for the budget for the big bosses' approval. So that explains an early Christmas party meeting.

For our company, Christmas party is the only party being held yearly. So everyone is always looking forward to this party. Each department takes a responsibility and work for the success of this once in a year party. Also, like the previous years, each department will have a Christmas presentation. That’s why we are already thinking what to present this Christmas. Any idea guys? It’s anything goes, variety theme as per Daddy Allan.

Anyway, our party is usually held after work. They set a party booth in our parking area and we hire a catering service for the chairs and tables, and for the food. Aside from department presentation, there are parlor games and raffles. Everyone is hoping to win and take home something. And of course, there are food and alcohol beverages.

Speaking of alcohol beverages, drinking such is always part of Christmas party. In fact, for some, there are unlimited beer in a barrel or wine bottles. It’s Christmas and everyone has all the reasons to be jolly, haha!

Seriously, drinking alcohol, must be in moderation. Especially if you know you need to drive home after, you must drink moderately or don’t drink at all if you can’t control yourself. In case you drink and you don't know your alcohol limit, check out this Safe Driving Calculator. This will help you decide whether you can still drive home safely. Just be sure you know your weight okay?

So guys, this Christmas don't party and drink then drive because drunk driving is very very risky. It's also important to know your limits. And remember, it's not only your life that you are putting at risk, but the life of others on the road as well.

Drive safely this Christmas!

His First Christmas Party in School

Yesterday, I posted about Matthew's first educational field trip. Today naman, it's all about his first Christmas party in school.

Last Friday, December 19, Matthew's school held their 2014 Christmas party. The little boy was over excited because we told him Santa will give them gifts on that day. So I told him to write a letter to Santa on what he wants for Christmas.

His teacher told us that instead of the usual exchange gift, the parents will send gifts for their kids. They reminded us also not to tell our kids so as to surprise them. That's why when Daddy and I got a chance to go to the mall without Matthew, we bought his wish gift... Bumblebee!
