No matter how we thoroughly wash our face, chances are there are still traces of dirt and oil that will remain and will clog our skin pores. Thus, causing unwanted pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. I know you wouldn't want them right?
If your face is prone to acne or pimples, then you may use a facial toner. Facial toner can remove traces of dirt and oil from make ups and facial creams.
Here are 6 benefits of using facial toner (source):
2. Balances the pH of skin. Our skin has a pH of between 5 to 6 so using a basic soap can disturb the pH of the skin. If this happens, the skin will have to work overtime that may result to oiliness. But if you use a facial toner, it can restore the balance quickly.
3. Adds layer of protection. Using facial toner can close pores and tighten cell gaps. This will help the skin to prevent penetration of impurities and contaminants.
4. Moisturizes the skin. There are facial toners that can help bind the moisture to the skin.
5. Refreshes the skin. You can actually use toner when you can't wash your face. Refreshing your skin like washing can.
6. Prevents ingrown hairs. Facial toners that contains glycolic or other alpha hydroxy acids can help prevent ingrown hairs.
After reading all the above benefits, I promise to always use facial toner. My problem is sometimes I don't have time or I forget about it. Haha.
