2014, The Year that Was

Year 2014 had been a roller coaster ride for our family. But I still consider 2014 as a great year. Though they were bumps, there were more opportunities  for us. I can't deny the fact that last year, we had learned a lot.

So let's make a recap of our 2014.

Nanay's 67th birthday. We went too our hometown to celebrate Nanay's birthday last February. My other siblings and their kids attended our mini celebration at Jollibee, Science City of Muñoz.

Our Merry Christmas 2014

Belated Merry Christmas guys! Just got back to work after the Christmas break. Yes we have work today, December 29th. 

So how's your Christmas celebration? Our's is still simple as the previous years of stay here in Bulacan. Initially, we planned to go to our hometown in Nueva Ecija so we can celebrate Christmas with our entire family there. But that didn't push through as my mother can not stand long hours of travel. Also, we have a bulk order to finish. 

Oh yes, we gave in to a client's request but the deadline naman is January 15, 2014. That's why our at our spare time during the break, we do as much crochet as we can. Here are my two boys while we crochet early in the morning.

Our 6th Wedding + The Search for a New Stroller

Hello everyone! How's your holiday? We had a super long weekend. Unfortunately, we didn't got a chance to go far away from home because of one, fear of the heavy traffic and two, I needed to get a good rest because I already felt my whole body aching. Thank God, I feel better now.

Sunday was our 6th wedding anniversary our 11th year of relationship. Yes, we are lucky to get married on the same day of our anniversary :)

Since, we already heard about the heavy traffic at NLEX and exits. We just content ourselves on spending the entire day at home. After hearing a mass, we went to the nearest grocery to buy some stuff needed for our anniversary dinner (just at home). Luckily, the booth selling cars was open. Just imagine how excited our little car addict was. He couldn't decide what to pick and buy until he finally chose 3 small cars at 30 pesos each. They were cheap but those cars are durable and so cute. I actually regret not taking photos of these cars.

Super Long Weekend + Our Anniversary

How's your week going guys? I hope everything is just light and easy. I have been missing in action for more than a week not only because of work, but because of typhoon Glenda and the total lost of internet connection.

Since after typhoon Glenda, we lost our internet connection at work and ours at home is so slow. It was just yesterday that the internet connection here at our office was fixed. It was terrible without the internet connection at work. I was forced to load up our Smart Bro stick but it was so so so slow. I can't even attach a doc file and it was stressful receiving follow ups of reports. Anyway, it was over and hopefully we will not lose the internet connection EVER again.

By the way, last week I was talking about Eid'l Fitr (Feast of Ramadhan) on July 29 and wishing that July 28 is a holiday too. Just this morning I have learned that the Bulacan government declared July 28 as provincial holiday for INC Centennial. So now, I am looking forward to a super long weekend.

Happy Monday + Eid'l Fitr 2014 Holiday

Hello everyone! How's the first day of the work week so far? I am doing just right except that I still feel tired after our balikan trip to Nueva Ecija yesterday. The weather was scorching heat but I enjoyed every second being with my two boys. We spent our Sunday almost on the road, by the way.

Anyway, I have no choice but be back to work even without enough rest. And if you are a corporate slave like me, I am so sure you are looking forward to holidays. Me, I am waiting for August because it has 2 nationwide holidays plus we have 2 provincial holidays. Hurray!

But wait, if you think there's no holiday to look forward this July, there's one. Malacañang just released the Proclamation No. 826. Declaring Tuesday, 29 July 2014, as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid'l Fitr (Feast of Ramadhan).

Happy 4th Birthday Matthew Andrei!

June 16 will always be a special day for us. As God gave us one of the greatest blessings in our life, Matthew Andrei who turns 4 today. And it's not just his birthday because today another milestone in his life will happen.

Today is his first day in school and it's official! Our dear little Matthew Andrei is a school boy! Oh how time flies! He can do most of the chores on his own and it makes me smile and feel sad at the same time. I'm happy to see him growing independently, smart, active and healthy. But it also makes me feel sad that sooner, he will have his own world outside our home. I just always pray that he will remember all the lessons we are teaching him and also he can learn on his own. Because I can never be happier seeing him to be a successful, respectful good man.

Oh, I know it's just his 4th birthday so I still have years with him before he can live on his own independently. So please help me greet this smart, happy boy!

Happy 33rd Birthday Daddy A!

Today, the very special man in my life celebrates his 33rd birthday. There will be no special celebration or getaway. In fact we will report to work today and I don't even got a gift for him. Although he's asking for an oven or a steamer, hmm a steamer yes!

Seriously, I may not always tell him this, but I feel so lucky for having him in my life. It is never in my dream to marry my best friend but now, I cannot imagine myself being married to another man. He may not be the romantic, sweet guy in every women's dream but for me he's the best husband a wife can wish for. 

He's the master chef in the house, the plumber, the electrician, the sewer, the painter, the crocheter, the crocheter, the herbalist, the manicurist, the beautician... name it he can do it. He's the hardworking QMR, QA head, Chemist and Sampler. And you know what? After a long day of work, he still manage to cook for us, and help me with crocheting. He never complain, he's a good follower, lol!

I think I cannot describe him enough but I know you know him through this blog of mine, through our family blog, and through his personal blog. Sige na Daddy A, I will greet you na.

Our Lovely Valentine

Belated happy Hearts day! Sorry for not greeting you yesterday, busy lang po.

Remember what I have write a few days ago? Yesterday was our bestfriend's wedding. So we took a leave and off we went to Antipolo.

We woke early and left the house at around 6 in the morning. Hoping we will not catch the morning rush traffic. But still we encountered heavy traffic at Cubao and Ortigas areas. We reached Antipolo before 9 in the morning. The wedding ceremony started at 9 =)

By the way, we brought Matt with us. Daddy and I were contemplating to bring him because knowing Matt he really can't keep still for a long time. But there's always this guilt that won't let me leave him. Kasi naman this is just one of few days he can go out with us. So tiis ganda na lang ako sa pagpigil sa kanya. Thanks to my mini notebook and Tita Mare's pencil.

New Year, New Business

If there's something I am so thankful for 2013, it's a better family relationship. If you remember, I have posted something not so good going on within our family (my family side). My brother and I used to be not in good terms because of,  even if it's so shameful to admit, money. I will not go into more details anymore because I want to leave what had happened behind and move forward to a best 2014. 

What's important is that my brother and I had patched our differences and has a much better relationship now. Actually, he lives with us. Thank you very much to my understanding husband, Daddy A. Anyway, enough of the drama because I am happy to share that my brother has become more responsible now and in fact he, together with one of our cousins, ventured into business.
